disney photography vs outside photographer

Those of you that didn't hire an outside photographer for your wedding , do you regret it ? Or were you satisfied with the photo's that were taken ?
It just doesn't seem like you get many photo's , and any extra costs way more than it should , but how is the quality of the photography ?
I am trying to decide wether to hire Randy or save some of the rapidly rising costs occuring due to our DFTW

Disney Photography seems to be hit or miss, I know many that have loved them, and have had nice pitures and then lots that are disppointed from bad pictures, blurry, etc. If I were you I would book with an outside photographer, I'm also doing outside photography because of all the bad response Disney photography brings.

We used Disney photography and couldn't have been happier with the results. DPS has had some hit or miss work in the past but they've seemed to step up the quality of their work in the last couple of years. We got a ton of pictures and love every single one.

We used DPS for our vow renewal and I was very pleased with the pics! I looked at lots of PJs and found the DPS photog who had a style that I liked. We requested and got her. I'd say one drawback is you don't know which photog you will get. So if you have a very specific style in mind, then maybe you would feel more comfortable booking and outside photog.

We used an outside photographer but still kept our Disney photographer for the ceremony. From my experience, I was very unhappy with our DPS photos. It was difficult to find 20 pictures to put into the album that came with our Escape package. So for us, we were so thankful that we went with the outside photographer or I would have been heartbroken. But with that, I didn't request any particular DPS photographer and that was probably the mistake because I've seen some amazing DPS photos from brides that have requested particular photographers. If you go with DPS, just make sure to request a good one because I wish we would have!

We used David and Vicki Arndt for our wedding but we had Regina for our rehearsal dinner and MK shoot. She's fabulous!

I am going outside, I am too worried after all I have heard to trust my pictures to a Disney one.

This is still one of the topics my DF and I are deciding upon. We have such a long day, that outside photography is going to cost a fortune. We were hoping that we could find a good Disney photographer to supplement.
