Have I been living under a rock? I was looking at the pricing for DFAP again today, because Misty Miotto has raised her prices and I was comparing the overall value of going solely with Disney vs. using Misty and Disney. Anyways I noticed on the DFTW site that it says:"Choose from a variety of professional packages to ensure that your photographs are everything you dream of. Each package includes two skilled photographers: One will record your day in a traditional style; the other will use a photojournalistic style to create candid black-and-white images."

Have you always been assigned two photographers? This would make me more comfortable going with Disney...I figure having two people shooting must increase your odds of getting some good shots throughout the day. Plus, it would actually be cheaper to get the Enchanted Rose package than to piecemeal out the day with Disney and Misty (although I love her).

Also, do you still get the 10% off for using both Disney photography and videography??

You know, they seem to have been sending two photographers out to do Wishes weddings a lot in the past year or so, so they must've decided to formalize it. It's nice to see they're realizing they have to offer more for what they're charging if they're going to compete.

And yes, you still get 10% off for using Disney for both photography and videography. :thumbsup2

I'm really glad I read this thread. I was considering piecing together photography as well but if I can get 2 photographers I will feel so much better about what I am going to get. I too am considering their enchanted rose package because of what we get with it. Very very good to know!!!

Just wanted to chime in! We're an escape wedding, getting married Tuesday, and we were told that Regina would be our "lead" but our second hadn't been assigned yet. So it DOES seem as though they've gone with two...maybe!

Photography is very important to me. That being said I still think it's a better deal to go with outside photography when you can get two photographers that you know will do a good job for a better price. Disney video, even with the discount is still very expensive in my opinion.

I live in the Orlando area and was able to meet with many of the professional wedding photographers in our area. Most everyone I met with was less expensive than DPS and used the same albums and products that DPS uses.
Most of the outside professional photographers seemed to use more creative enhancements to their photos than what I saw with DPS. I probably spent more time than most meeting with photographers, but I'm confident that I won't have to worry about photography on my wedding day!:goodvibes

If my reception wasn't inside a park, I would use outside photography. But that isn't the case and it works out to be much less expensive for me to go with Disney for both photography and videography (about $2,600 cheaper) rather than using both Disney and Misty.

Everyone's situation is different. I'm glad that Disney seems to be stepping up their photography services lately. It makes me more comfortable with my decision to go with them. And it goes towards my minimum, which is 20k so that aspect is helpful as well.

Yes, I'm doing everything outside the parks. WP/ADH/ and I'm using the Grand Floridian Marina for my welcome party. Where are you having your reception? I still may decide to add on a dessert party at Epcot for the wedding day and then I will have DPS for that. I'm sure your pictures will turn out lovely since they seem to be doing more editing than what we used to see on here. And having two photographers is a definite plus!:goodvibes

Best Wishes for your day!

The reception is at the Living Seas. I had actually planned on somewhere at the GF but when we went for the site visit, we fell in love with the LSS. You're so lucky to already be in Florida! I bet it makes planning so much esaier! My bestfriend's SIL had her wedding reception at the ADH and it was lovely!

Thank you. I'm so excited about ADH. I haven't started a PJ but I love reading everyone elses. I'm heading over to read your PJ right now.:cutie:
