Disney Photographers

To those that have used Disney Photography Services, who was your photographer? I want to be sure I get the absolute best person!!!

Our photographer was Ty and he did a great job for us. I know a few other brides have had him as well and I have heard nothing but good things about him. I know there are a few others, but I can't remember their names.

A couple of years ago, Disney's policy was to assign a photographer to you. You didn't get a choice. I think that has changed and you can request a photographer but I'm not sure if they guarantee you will have that person.

My suggestion (and this is regardless of using a Disney or outside photographer) is to have some idea of the type of photos you want. Look at lots of wedding pictures here and online and let your coordinator know what you looking for (specific poses you like, things you don't like, etc.). Also, don't be afraid to ask your photographer on the day of the wedding if there is something special you want. We wanted a particular picture and told Ty, he took that picture right away.

We also had Ty and he was fantastic! He was completely open to what we wanted, had suggestions, got some traditional posed photos as well as a lot of more relaxed and fun photos. I don't even know how he got some of the ceremony photos he got because I never even noticed him there, he was so unobtrusive, but got all the photos I wanted. I cannot say enough good things about Ty!

To those that have used Disney Photography Services, who was your photographer?

LilJen2001, I've used six different Disney photographers (plus, one of them I've used twice) at various events that my family has hosted in Walt Disney World, including our Fairy Tale Weddings vow renewal. I can honestly say that I've been pleased with everyone's work.

I agree with the other ladies -- decide what type of photos you want and then let Disney know about it ahead of time. And don't forget to fill out the "shot list".

For my vow renewal, I wanted both traditional photos and candid photos. Since I had two Disney photographers at my event, one photographer took the traditional shots while the other photographer took the more spontaneous shots. It worked out beautifully.
