Disney Photographer Question

I am trying to decide if I should stick with the photographer Disney provides or hire my own for my Escape wedding. I really want some pictures around the resort. Will the Disney photographer take these or do they just photograph the ceremony and reception? I imagine that since you have the photographer for 2 hours they can take pictures in other close areas?

Also, how much does it cost to pre-purchase the prints?

I can't stand waiting for my sales consultant to respond to my e-mails!

Yes, the Disney photographer can take pix of you around the resort - I'd just be sure to let them know that's what you want to do so they can arrange to do it all within the 2 hours.

The price of pre-purchasing all your prints is $355.

It means you buy them all (one print of each photo) at one low price before the wedding instead of buying them individually at $12-$30 a pop (for 4x6 sizes and 8x10 sizes) later. However, I suspect that if you didn't decide to do this until after the wedding, they would still sell you all your prints at one flat rate.

If you also do a honeymoon shoot or add the black-and-white/journalistic option to your standard Escape package, the price to purchase all the proofs is $375.

Does this count for the MK Shoot? And it's only for prints, not for the cd?

Correct - prints only, not the CD. It doesn't apply to the MK shoot b/c that includes one print of every pic in the price.

we purchased all of our prints after the wedding for $355 - no one ever said it was a prepurchase deal.

Oh, and we had our ceremony at the WP. I told my planner adhead of time that I wanted pics inside, outside by the arch, out on the beach and on the GF staircase. I didn't realize that was a lot to ask for and she never said it would be an issue. THe day of the wedding Paul was ready with our list and made sure we kept moving. At one point he very politley mentioned we needed to keep moving quickly to get in all the shots I wanted - remember the 2 hours covers a little before the ceremony, the cermony itself, and then the cake cutting too, so there really isn't as much time as you think. They'll fit in as much as they can (we got all the locations we asked for and 188 pictures total) but if you want a LOT of pictures with lots of people in lots of locations, either extending the DFTW photographer or hiring another would be the way to go.
