Has anyone ever gotten the Disney Photo Movie? If so, is it worth the $50.00?

Thanks!

I'd like to know the answer to that question too. We just got back and got the email from them and it's very tempting!

After I went to WDW this January with my wife and daughter (4) I decided to order one PhotoMovie. It has been (for us) a nice way to remember our daughter’s first trip. Every acquaintance who has seen it has given us raving reviews ;) (even those who haven’t visited Disney…)

At this time, the novelty has worn off, but I’m convinced that when my daughter is older she will still appreciate it.

Of course, different people, different experiences...

[added after first post] On the practical side of things, you can “build” it on the website and have a preview without having to order it.

Hope this helps.

Luis

Yes, the same photos they take of you using the photopass system can be used for the photomovie. At the back of the card there is a unique code that is used to refer your photos in the PhotoMovie website. You can also download your own photos.

Please be aware that there is a time limit for the photo pass to be stored at Disney Web site.

Just ordered mine the other day. I figure that it is a quick way of watching an overview of our trip and like another poster said, it will be a cherished memory in years to come. I cant wait for it to arrive!!! :cool1:

I put one together after our trip in June! We LOVE it! Has Disney music in it, as well as occasional "pop in" visits on photomovie of Mickey and friends! It is a nice way to remember our trip and a fun way to show our families our pictures! It is worth the 50.00!!!! :thumbsup2

We got one after our July trip. Our first one was messed up, but Disney replaced it. This one works fine. It was very nice to have. I feel like my kids will want it as they get older. It was worth it to me to have such a nice keepsake.

Hi
I got mine in the mail last week. I bought two. One for my DD and DGD and one for me. The second CD cost 19.99. We love it. I'm so glad I bought it and think it's really worth it. I love looking at it especially since my DGD age 3/12 is in most of it. My brother saw it and said he'd like to get one next year when he goes. I'm sure I'll buy it next time. You can upload your own pictures, use their pictures that they provide and use photopass pictures if you have any of them.

Love ours! We just got ours last week, and it really is fun. Even though I did preview it, after watching it too many times, I have decided to only use family face shots, as scene shots get lost in all the other ones Disney has to offer. My DH and I can't get the music out of our head, and that's OK!

It's awesome to download your own photos as well as photopass stuff.

Have fun.

I like ours too. I did not even know about it until I got home and Disney emailed me about it. My first thought was, however, "even at home, Disney is figuring out ways to get my money."

How corny am I that I clicked on the link to see what you guys were all chatting about and started getting teary-eyed at watching the little clips they let you see :lmao: I love the whole photopass thing and this will be great when we go in January!! :thumbsup2

For those of you have done it, how long did it take to put it together?

Once you processed your order, how long did it take to receive it?

It took me about an hour and a half while at work. If my photos were organized and labeled, it would have been shorter. I didn't have any luck getting my photopass ones on there, I must have done something wrong- be careful when doing so.

It took less than a week or so to receive I think. They keep you posted, and it seemed really quick.

Hi
My movie took 2 weeks to get. If you do get it, really review it good, because I thought I did and one of my pictures isn't in the movie. It looks as if it's going to be, but it doesn't come up. Also, as another poster said, you really don't need too many scenery pictures, and it is better to have pictures that are close up of people. I will do mine a little different next year. It took me about 1 1/2 to two hours to put it together, but it took me longer to upload my pictures. I'm not great at the computer, and I might've done it a long way. There's got to be an easier way than what I did, cause that part took me a few hours. Still worth it though!! Good luck and have fun!!

I'm glad I found out about this. I think I might get it for a Hanukkah present for the boys.

Just curious, is there a folder on the cd (if you open it on the computer) that holds a copy of each picture you put on (in case you wanted to print it)?
