I was just watching "The Insider" and they were doing a segment on pedophiles and showed a 21 year old Disney employee being arrested. They specifically said Walt Disney World employee. :scared1: Is this new? Anything in the news in Florida? Is this some old footage? Please, if anyone has information, let us know.

I dont see anything about it on the Orlando Sentinel website and those stories usually hit the front page. All in all for a company that has tens of thousands of employees WDW does have a good record with this sort of thing but it just goes to show that evil is everywhere even at WDW

This was about six or seven months ago. It was a person with no criminal record at all who was in a backstage position where he would not be in Guest contact. It just happens that he was one of the 60,000+ employees Disney has in the Orlando area.

I did a little internet research after posting (guess I should done that first) and found the following site:

Sorry if I'm not supposed to post sites. Obviously this is an anti-Disney site because of it's name, but anyway, they said this just happened on May 1.

Anyway, I thought I should post a follow up and just clarify that I didn't mean to be alarmist at all. I realize there are these type of people in every facet of the population and Disney does the best they can to weed them out. According to the article, they had a hand in helping the authorities catch him. Obviously, no one knows what they do it the privacy of their own home or on their computers. I didn't mean to infer that Disney was in any way at fault.

I went to your link. Note it said Disney-MGM Studio; the name change was January 8th. Also, near the bottom of the entry it said to "look here, here, here and here. Going to the last "here" I came up to this site http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,295451,00.html# which was from last August. I knew it was over six months ago.

1) As mentioned, this is really old news.
2) The Insider just pulled it for sensationalism.
3) Anything with crimes and Disney gets attention.
4) But, with over 65,000 employees, there has to be a bad apple or two.
5) They do a fingerprint background check, but some slip through.

NOTE: As and example, I have so far escaped detection. My fingerprints did not show that I am possibly wanted for (a) removing the "do not remove under penalty of law" mattress tag, and (b) using descriptions of televised football games without the written permission of NBC or the National Football League or the players union. Phew! Lucky, again.

I know that a guy who played Beast on the Beauty and the Beast show was arrested for child porn on his computer. But that was a while ago

When you get hired you get finger printed and they do a background check through the FBI so the guy probably did not have a record.
