wanting to see some pedicure ideas to show off in the parks! Anyone have some good pedi pics? anything Disney. is there anywhere in the parks/DD/resorts that do Disney Pedi's?

Ha! I was actually thinking about this myself. I plan on getting a Donald mani, but have no idea what to do for a pedi. I broke 3 toes right before our last trip, so there was no pedi for me.:sad1: This time, I have to make up for it!!

Yep I was thinking the same thing also. I want to get a cute mani/pedi before my trip. Was thinking doing my fingers all red with black dots and then the finger right next to my pinky opposite. Black with red dots and then something similar on my toes..... But would love to get some other ideas as well!!!

I'd love to do something like this next...

I had lime green toes with a mickey head on each big toe. I'll see if I can get to that picture (my old laptop died and my new one isn't compatible with the external hard drive )

super cute Minnie nails! unfortunately, I am a nail biter :rolleyes1 so that won't look too good on my nails! LOL

Thanks for the above link! Lots of good ideas there!

Be careful with pedicure treatments that make your feet soft. I just read another post where someone did that and they ended up with blisters at WDW. I did that one time, I was wearing heels to work afterwards and ended up with blisters.

I can't wait to get my pedi before my trip. My oncologist asked me not to get them during my chemo treatments. I've got four more sessions and eight weeks until my trip. I can't wait until my 7th week from now!!!!

Ok, totally hate feet pictures, but here you go! As you can tell, I did it myself to save some $$ and also to avoid the soft foot/blister thing a PP mentioned from getting professional pedicures. I just bought circle gems stickers from Michaels and then put clear nailpolish over top to hold them in place. They lasted through a week in the parks with flip flops on, through a few rainstorms, swimming and showering, etc... No problem!

Not inherently Disney, but Zoya has a line called Pixie Dust. It's on my toes now, I like it a lot. (Plus it's more natural supposedly - and vegan, if that matters to anyone! :))

I got my toes done before we went (about three days in advance and I was fine). I picked a nice red and then just had her do polka dots on each big toe. My toes stay nice for quite a while so I wanted something Disney but not over the top Disney. My youngest had little Mickey heads painted on hers.

my DD always brings a home depot mickey head with her to the nail salon, to make sure the ladies can do her nails with mickeys. It is so funny to here the ladies who do our nails speak viatnamese (spelling? I am sure I am butchering it) and every now then I would hear them say Mickey mow. It made everyone in the salon smile.

I usually just do the red toes and white polka dots on my big toes. Sometimes, I will do my finger nails white+pearl overcoat and then sparkles for pixie dust...I would NEVER wear this to work, so it does feel very Disney vacay to me. ;)

Juliebug, when my mom was done with chemo I bought her a bag of nice nail polish! It's probably so good to get back to something pretty, sometimes it's the little things

That's why they're fake with shellac on top!!:rotfl2:

If you have an instagram account look up hashtags like #disneynails or something. I'm sure you will see lots of ideas for your nails!

For someone who did her hair every day and always had polish on her toes (and almost always on her nails), this has been a struggle. I can't wait for things to go back to normal. Hopefully.

I will definitely keep you in my prayers. Go get gorgeous at week 7 and have a spectacular trip!

As an aside, I was the poster who got blisters on her feet from a pedi right before we went to Disney last year. Even the cuticles around the nails blistered as well as between my toes from the hot stones. I was a complete and total miserable wretch, and if that wasn't fun enough, I caught a cold to really round out a fun-filled, no complaints here kind of trip. Yikes! This year I'm not getting the full pedi but I will get my toenails polished... with Mickey heads.

Just wondering if anyone knows of a salon around WDW that does Disneyesque designs. I've seen a ton of pics on pinterest and google, but can't seem to find any nail salons in the area that have them. TIA
