There is a EBAY seller auctioning off what he calls Disney Passes. They vary in lengths/days. He advertises them as having a 14 day experation date from first use and being post 2005. He says that Disney will still honor any passes bought after 2005. Are these passes legit? Or would a person be shut down at the gate when they tried to enter with one of these?

I'd steer clear. You really have no idea if any of them were activated, or legit or whatever. Unless they are STEEPLY discounted....(and even then if it's too good to be true....) I stick to Undercover tourist with mousesaver.com discount. I've never seen anything discounted much more than UT that was legit.

Don't do it. Tickets are non transferable once used so if he is selling tickets with days left the he is breaking the rules.

There is a very small chance they are legitimate. Most likely they are "keyed" to someone else's fingerprint and you will be stopped at the gate. Do you really want to start your vacation wondering if they are going to let you in the park? For what its worth, I have purchased an unused ticket from an acquaintance. She had purchased a ticket for her Dad who was then unable to travel. She knew I went to Disney a lot and wondered if I wanted to buy it from her. Since I knew her and trusted her story, I went ahead and purchased it for her asking price which was about 75% of actual value. It worked out well for both of us since she was afraid she would be stuck with the ticket and I save a few dollars. I was still nervous trying to use it for the first time though.

The may be legit, but unfortunately you just don't know. If unused they would still be valid admission. If they were ever used at all, from the description they would have expired 14 days after first use.

I would stay far away.... That is too much money to lose if the tickets turn out to be duds.

they may be legit but they may not.
i would never ever ever consider purchasing disney tickets from ebay/craigslist and its generally the naive that do.

My feeling was the same as all of you. Seems too good to be true and a scam. I was mainly just wandering what other peoples thoughts were on this and if maybe there was anyone on the boards that may have tried it. Would be nice if it were true though. Me and my wife are going for a resort only stay in may, just planning on relaxing and resort hopping. However if we would get stir crazy and go in to a park one day I would like to do it as cheap as possible.

Just out of curiosity, what is the "discount" price on this ebay ticket and is it 1 day only? I only ask because I'm not seeing any on there that are of significant savings over gate prices. My wife and I just did a 2 night resort only stay. Friday night we checked in and had a few drinks by the pool (we stayed at Beach Club and I walked to Boardwalk, walked out to the Hess express to buy beer/Mike's lemonade there to save over Disney beer prices) We had a nice dinner, spent the evening in the hot tub...Next day had a quickserve breakfast and Uber'd a ride from downtown Disney to the Universal walk...had lunch....Came back to the hotel to relax a bit with a few drinks.....Did the boardwalk at night and had another Dinner reservation. Sunday we had a nice breakfast, lounged/napped at the pool again, had lunch and then went home. If you aren't the need to be entertained every second of the day, a resort only trip is a nice getaway without the parks.
