Disney Parking

I've been to Disney World only one time before...and on that trip my husband and I stayed at a hotel and took buses everywhere...this time we are staying offsite and renting a van. On top of that, I'm planning the trip for 7 other people. I've been able to find most of what I need but I do have a couple questions on parking...

- Do you pay only once for the day? Thinking of going in the morning and then back to the condo for a nap and then doing an evening back at the park. So would we have to pay each time we go to the park in the same day?

- How early do you suggest getting to the parking lot/parking in order to get to rope drop? I guess this is more for MK since you have to take either the boat or the monorail to get to the park entrance.

You pay for parking only once for the day. For MK, I would arrive in the lot no less than 60 minutes before--even earlier would be better.

And in case you are park hopping, that once a day means if you go to Magic Kingdom for the morning and Epcot for the evening, you pay once even though it's two different parks. Just have your receipt available.
