Disney Parking

I heard that AAA has a parking pass that you can get free parking at the parks. We are AAA members but they say you can only get this pass with a vacation package. We have already made plans so don't need the package, but was wondering if anyone else might happen to have a pass that we could get. As I understand it, the pass it always good, no expiration date. I just hate to have to pay the $6.00 a day to park. Thanks

You get free parking if you are staying in a Disney resort or have an AP. The AAA parking (only available if you book a AAA vacation) allows you to park near the front of the lots. IT DOESN'T GIVE YOU PAID PARKING you still have to pay for parking if you're staying offsite.

We are staying off property at silver lake resort. I guess I'm stuck paying the $6.00 a day parking fee, but would be nice to at least be able to park closer to the front. Does anyone have one of the passes that lets you do that?

I have a AAA Diamond Lot pass. We've had mixed results with it. Sometimes the lot fills very early in the day. At the AK the lot is actually no closer than the regular lot if you get there early. It's always been full at MGM. We never drive to MK, so I can't comment ont aht one.
