Ive been looking at ticket prices across the net and my view is that thet are cheaper on the us disney site.$217 for 5 day hopper compared with £189. for the same ticket on the uk disney site.My question is this would i pay the same price ie $217 if i went to a ticket office at wdw when i arrive at disney?

The official Disney gate price for a 5 day hopper(no plusses)is $230.02 which would be approx £153. The $217 price you quote must be from a ticket agent of which there are several.
The cheapest deal I have found is www.ticketmaninc.com I intend to pre order my tickets from them without deposit and collect and pay for them from there Kissimmee office
Others around these boards reccommend Omar at maple leaf tickets.

Ooops! A little typo in Ken's link I think - Ticketmania is here

Generally, the discount online people are about 10% cheaper than what you'll pay on the gate at WDW (Unless you belong to the Disney Club)

Try this site.

www.floridaticketsinc.com

I'm in the US and I can save about $100 by buying them from here as apposed to directly from Disney. Disney charges a sales tax for each ticket. The above site does not.

Ticketmania is about $7 cheaper than floridaticketsinc because floridaticketsinc charges $10 shipping.

My apologies Ken...when I clicked on the link yesterday the site was down or something as there was nothing there (cross my heart and hope to die ;) ) so I just assumed it was a typo. I've never heard of these people before.

Penny :)

No apologies necessary Penny. Ticketmaninc was recommended to me by the British owners of the villa we are renting. They use them all the time apparently.

Quick question in regards to ticketmaninc. I've never heard of them either. It is unclear from their site whether they charge shipping and handling , if I were to purchase tickets from them and want them mailed to me. Does anyone know for sure one way or the other...please advise.

Thanks for your time.

Have you booked your tickets yet at Ticketmaninc .I emailed them to check if they would deliver to my resort so that it would save me a trip down the 192.They said they would and seem very helpful.I`m going to book today and just wanted to know if you have booked and what reply-service you got from them.

Crazygolfer

I have E mailed ticketmaninc and asked them if i can collect my tickets from their office on the first morning of my hol as their office is closed when our flights arrive the previous day. I intend to pay for them on collection. I don't want them delivered as I am staying in a privately rented home and don't know if the management company might just empty the mail box before we arrive;)

Ken

Thanks for the reply kenbar.

I`m going to pay for them today and hope that he will deliver as promised.we arrive on a sat and we are staying at a timeshare resort that we brought a couple of years ago.oasis lakes on international drive.so he can deliver them to the reception on the fri or sat i hope. Not long until you go then. Were are you steying then kenbar?i bet you are looking forward to going.Did you get a good deal on your flights.Im going with airtours from gatwick booked in january and paid £342.

I booked my villa privately from info gleaned from these boards. It was the British owners of the villa who put me on to Ticketmaninc. Lots of people who have rented the villa have used them apparently, so you/we should have no problems.
We are certainly looking forward to it. I haven't been since1995 and my partner and the kids haven't been at all.
I booked my flights through Opodo 8 weeks ago and paid £1500 for the five of us. It's a Virgin flight non stop from Manchester. Two weeks car hire through choiceair, full size car, all insurances and taxes £336. The villa is near mile marker 13 (medieval times) in a community called Montego Bay. Cost £750 for the fortnight.

Hi kenbar

Your flights you got was a good deal for the five of you.i have got my car from choice air at £264 for two weeks all in plus extra driver and full tank of petrol.Car size on my hertz coupon says b+?? Are you going to swim with the dolphins when you go in six days time you lucky luck thing.still i have only eleven days to go.im flying into sanford i hate the double luggage claim at mco much rather drive then wait for ages for my luggage.Im going to book my tickets now fingers crossed.
have a great time might see you if you have a ribbon on!!!!!!!

Kenbar.

I've noticed that a lot of British and Scottish own vacation homes in the WDW area.

What's the deal with so many British and Scottish owning vacation rental homes in Florida?

This December will be the 4th time we've rented a home. Two times they were owned by someone in Britain or Scotland which we arranged for the rental directly from the owner. The other two times we rented through a booking agency.

Beats me:D
Brits own appartments and villas all over Europe as second homes/holiday homes. France, Spain, Greece. Some of my friends have Spanish homes and use them frequently as flights are short and cheap. Retired folks stay in the warmer climate throughout our winter. Some people rent them out for an extra source of income, and others intend to relocate there eventually.
I'm not convinced of the economics of buying in Florida myself but I know many are. There are British owners who use these boards who will be more qualified than me to answer your question.
:D
