For those who have made reservations through the new system, do you know if you can cancel the reservation and switch to another park that day without penalty? Thanks!

I was wondering the same. I accidentally picked MK for the day before our daughters birthday and now I want to switch it but you have to cancel the park you have a reservation for and risk not being able to get the park you want.

Not 100% sure. I just booked for Feb. ‘21, got tickets and made reservations for each day. There is a ‘change reservation’ button under the first arrival day, but I haven’t been able to get in and see if switching parks is an option or if it’s only to change the dates and/or hotel.

where did you see this? Is it under the my plans section?

The Change Reservation button only gives you an option to cancel. Except for some first week limitations, everything appears to be wide open so you *should* have no problem cancelling and reserving a different park. You can also check the availability calendar before cancelling.

The availability calendar sucks. It shows everything grayed out for me.

Did you toggle over to the resort reservation option at the top of the calendar? When I do that, then I can see everything with green or yellow.

I guess this is related. I have tickets from our now cancelled August trip. I plan to book 2 dates next year.
1. Will I be able to book a park reservation for each trip?
2. If I decide to change my dates (school and pandemic are just so uncertain) will that affect my tickets? In short, if I use my tickets to lock in a date to go to the parks, will that affect anything if I have to cancel.

You probably can but after the day I had Monday, I am not touching it :sad2:

It really does not matter to me on this day which day I will be in which park in October or February - but we don't have any special occasion going on. Good luck.

Is it correct that all Epcot hours start at 11:00? It seems to be that way on any day I look at.

After I made my park passes I decided to change a date from a Sunday to Friday. Under my plans I was able to cancel the Sunday park pass but then had to go back and click to reserve park passes like I did when I first made them. I had to wait in the virtual waiting room and once that was over it allowed me to pick a new park pass for Friday instead. It was simple but nerve wracking because of the virtual waiting room.

so yes to change it you have to cancel it first.

Will you have 2 sets of tickets? You can book park reservations for both trips as long as you have tickets for both trips. If you were thinking to "hold" 2 different dates and then decide at a later time which works best, you'll only be able to book park reservations for the length of tickets you have in-hand.

The current ticket extension allows the tickets to be used anytime before 9/26/2021. As long as you change to another date before that expiration, your tickets will be fine. You probably will need to cancel the "old" parks reservations in order to rebook reservations for your new dates.

For right now, it looks like they have the parks staggered by 1 hour for morning openings and evening closings. So Epcot is the latest to open at 11am, but also the latest to close at 9pm (probably due to the fact they have the most restaurants). Each park is open 10 hours. My guess is this is mostly due to park transportation/busses so they can go heavy on AK busses early, then switch those busses to HS/E routes later for example. It's probably a safe assumption that those hours will change as things start to normalize, more workers are called back, and capacity increases, but as to when that happens is completely unknown. I look at it as those are the minimum hours the parks will be open.

I was able to change mine by cancelling and rebooking. I did it by going into the website, making sure there’s availability, cancelled on the app on my phone and booked the new park.

Yup! I messed up one of my days and was able to quickly cancel it and change it to another park.
