This will make it easier to replace broken or lost stuff or even gifts for people heading down. The prices look pretty good too.

I like the idea of getting some things b4 the trip, like a scrapbook or ears so the kids can just go when we get there. You are right, I hope they don't load everything and take away the 'fun' of shopping.

I am glad you can get park stuff online in case you didn't have time to shop while at the parks! I always wished I picked up a few more items and now I can order the picture frame I wish I had bought

Eh. I don't think this is a good move. They are already homogenizing Disney Parks merchadise and now you can order it on-line? Disney just continues to chip away at the "mystique" of the parks. Already most every shop has mostly all the same stuff and now that you can order on-line I see the merchadise becoming even more generic. I buy stuff at the shops because I know I can't get it anywhere else except maybe Ebay, now, why bother? I'll just wait for it to go on sale on Disney Shopping on-line.

The only thing that should be on-line IMHO is snowglobes. The parks have some great ones, but it's hard to bring one home, offer them on-line with a reasonable shipping price.

This is an awesome idea. But I do agree that sometimes it is more special when you are able to buy it at the parks.

I did notice that you can't buy park pins.....yet. As a pin collector it would be cool to be able to buy a park pin that I wasn't able to purchase while at the parks. I remember back in 1997 (my first trip), I had to have my father stop at Downtown Disney on the way out because I forgot to buy the one pin I was looking for (the 25th WDW anniversary pin). He wasn't too happy that he had to stop. But my mother made him because she knew that if I was going to get this pin, it was then or never. It would have been great to be able to purchase this pin off the Disney website. Of course back in 1997, the internet was beginning and I am not even sure if ebay had even began.

Anyway, I guess we will see how much park merchandise will show up on the website.

That's a good point. I like the idea of going to the parks to get something "exclusive." Even if it's something as simple as a WDW bumper sticker, I would know personally that you have had to go to the parks to get it.

In New York City, at the World of Disney, they have exclusive NYC disney stuff ... BUT they also have Disney Parks merchandise, which I wish in a way they would have kept in the parks.

Oh well, but knowing me I'll roll with the punches and buy cool WDW stuff online now.

I'm happy to see you can finally buy ear hats. We really wanted to get some for our boys, but not pay $25-30 a pair on ebay. This gives us a much better option.
I'd hate to see everything from the parks available online since it would ruin the shopping. It is nice to see at least some items become available if you couldn't decide while on vacation or as a gift for a fellow Disney fan.

My DH and I were looking at this earlier this evening. I don't know - I like knowing that some things are available only at the parks, and the mouse ears were one of them. I enjoy shopping at WDW (though I don't get much time to), and I like that it's a unique experience.
