Hello everyone! I'm new here, and to the World of Disney in general. I've been twice, once when I was little and once in March 06 for a week. I stayed off park, but I caught the bug! My best friend and I are going back, from 8/13-18/06, staying at Coronado Springs. Anything I should know about Disney in August, or about CS?
Also, I'm looking to plan my trip a little more and was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of some park attraction guides. I know wdwinfo has some but I was hoping to find a guide that combined the map and attraction info on the same guide (like the ones at the park)
Also, we have the dining plan and are beginning to make our reservations. Any suggestions? We wanted to check out the Hoopdie Doo Revue (sp), but its probably too late for that, right?
Thanks!
Kelly

Go and get the Unofficial Guide to WDW. It's AWESOME and will give you all the info you need to know!

Welcome! :tinker:

Welcome Bounce :tigger: :cheer2: :disrocks: The only thing I know about WDW in August is that it's hot! You may want to bring one of those little fans with you that you can stick in your purse  . Just a suggestion from someone who does not do well in extreme heat!! Anyway, since you are staying at CSR you may want to take advantage of EMH (extra magic hours) :tink: . Different parks offer them on different days (check on the Disney calender). I have never stayed at the CSR but from what I hear :listen: (& read on these boards :surfweb: ) it is very large. You may want to request to be near a bus stop. Here is an unofficial website for the CSR http://coronado_springs.tripod.com/. I'm not sure if you mean you want a guide to look at before you get your park guide if so, then here is a site with the park guides: http://www.willcad.org/disney_maps.html. Have fun!!!!! :smickey:

I would definitely check out Deb's site allears and buy the Unofficial Guide. They should cover everything. Allears even has menus so you can decide where to eat.

Hey Kelly. This is Alondra from LD. This is so weird. I didn't realize you were a member here lol.

Anyway that's awesome that you're going to Disney again this year. I've never been to WDW in August but I've been going there in July every year for the past 6 or so years (we're leaving in 3 days actually). Like everyone else has said, definitely get Birnbaum's Unofficial Guide to Disney World. It has alot of very helpful tips and provides alot of information. I've never been to CS but one of my friends always stays there when she goes to Disney and she loves it. Have a great time :) If you have any questions, you can always get in contact with me.

The best guidebook on the market right now is Passporter.

Close second is the Unnoficial Guide.

For park maps, click the link in my signature. I have hi-res scans of all the park maps, front and back, from WDW, Universal, and even one from Disneyland.
