I apologize if this is not the right forum.
Can you reduce the amount of days you have purchased tickets for after you have booked your package without canceling and rebooking the whole thing?
Example - We have 3 night package we 3 day tickets and deluxe dining. party of 4, 2 kids, 2 adults.
After thinking for a while, I really think it would be better if my daughter and I only went to the parks for 2 days, there are some other things I want to do with her...can I change 2 of the tickets to 2 day and leave the others at 3 day or is that even possible?
If not, can i change all of them to 2 day and have the boys just add a day to theirs? If so how much do they charge for that?
I plan on calling in the morning but i just thought someone might know.

My understanding is that you can make changes w/o a fee if you still have more than 45 days before the start of the trip.

That said, I think that all the people on the booking have to have the same ticket and dining options.

If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will correct me.

Good luck with it.

Thanks. I am going to call in the morning. Just anxious about it. I am usually a completely decisive person but not with Disney!! Go figure!!

PP is correct. If before 45 days of traveling, the package change can be made without a fee. Everyone on the package has to have the same ticket and dining options. You could certainly change everyone to two day tickets and have the other two tickets upgraded in the park. You must do it before leaving the park on the 2nd day to upgrade however.

100% correct. I just called tonight and was told I have until finally payment to change the tickets and we all have to be the same.

In your case I would drop everyone down to two, and then upgrade the ones that need to be 3 once you get there.

If you are spending MORE money, however, Disney will happily let you change your package right up until your trip - I called the other day at 11 days out and upgraded our two day base tickets to 8 day hoppers, and they were more than happy to take my $705.12. ;)

(No point in paying any more at the 45 day mark than I had to.)

Yes, change all of you to two day. When you check in, upgrade the other two tickets to three day tickets with guest services at your resort.

We did something similar this past trip. We didn't all need the same tickets and we upgraded the ones that needed more after checking in.

Yes, you can, as long as you are over 45 days out.

But... the difference between a 3 day and 2 day ticket is minimal. You could always hit RD then go do something else.

That's not true. It's not until after day three that the price per day goes down considerably.

2 day ticket w/o tax is $168
3 day ticket w/o tax is $232

...just another question if I can hitchike on this thread...

If I have a 8 night reservation, is there any problem with only having only 7 day park tickets? We're planning on going to Sea World for two of the days of our stay and won't need park tickets for those days. Right now we have 9 day park tickets on our reservation, but for our family of 5, if I reduce that down to 7 days it saves a little over $80 total. Not a huge amount, but if we aren't going to use those tickets, I don't want to pay for them...

Disney always wants to book you tickets on the day you get get to FL and the day you go home. This time they tried to get us to buy a 9 day ticket, I just took it down to a 7 day with no problem. We still have our dining plan for 8 days but don't have to worry about paying for 2 days I'm not going to use.

Yep. It will save us 138$ for my daughter and I to shop. :thumbsup2

Along these lines, we a trip planned and have not gotten park hoppers. If we decide upon check in, or within 45 days of arrival, are we charged a fee to add those?:confused3

You can wait to buy the park hoppers after you were there and are sure you will use it. You can add it on at any guest services in the park or at your resort for no problem. You can also probably add it without a fee. Like a PP said, Disney is always happy to take more of your money. ;)
