Hi everyone,

Does anyone have a complete list of which restaurants are Disney-owned and which are not? I can find the odd reference here and there, but not a complete list. Any help would be appreciated!

I don't know of a list elsewhere, but I suspect we could compile a list of all the non-Disney owned restaurants. I'll start:

Everything at Downtown Disney
The Swan/Dolphin restaurants
Big River Grille
Yak & Yeti
Rainforest Cafe
Coronado Springs restaurants
Italy pavilion in Epcot

That's just a start :) Anyone else?

The restaurants in the Mexico pavilion at Epcot are also operated by third party vendors, the same ones who operate the Coronado Springs restaurants. Maybe ESPN Club too?

OP - why do you ask? Even though some are owned/operated by third parties, some of them still adhere to Disney policies. Nothing is a blanket rule with Disney owned places vs. non-Disney owned places.

Thank you both for replying. The main reason I'm asking is that I have celiac disease and have understood from various other posts that sometimes the 3rd party owned restaurants are not as careful with gluten free as they don't have to abide by Disney's rules. More just a precaution on my part, although we still plan to eat at a couple 3rd party restaurants that are known to be really good for this.

I have celiac disease

My cousin has Celiac's and is a huge WDW fan. She's never had a problem at any of the non-Disney restaurants. When you make your ADR, not it on the reservation and then reiterate it to your server when you sit down. If you have concerns, just ask to see the chef.

On her trip last weekend, they made her gluten free mickey waffles at Whispering Canyon (albeit Disney-owned) but every place is very accommodating.

I don't think Narcoosee's is owned by Disney (edit: I was wrong, it is - thanks purple figment :))

Also the Rainforest Cafes (AK and DTD), and Big River Grille on the Boardwalk
