What things do people like to do at Disney that is located outside the parks? We are there for 9 days and looking for some ideas. I don't think I could do the parks everyday.

Depends on your budget..........

Sea World is a very different place than Disney and you could take almost the whole day viewing the creatures and watching shows. It can be quite a relaxing day.

Would your family want to ride go-carts?

There is lots of shopping in the area.

Resort hopping with lunch at one of them.

Are the water parks already on your to-do list?

That's all I can come up with right now. We are a park family but have done some other things from time to time.

You could also check a guide book/website to find more ideas.

Disney Related.

Boardwalk in the evening
Downtown Disney
Water Parks
Mini Golf
Tour the beautiful resorts
Rest day at the Pool at your resort

We are planning to spend one day at Wilderness Lodge where we will be staying. We are also planning to go to the Spirit of Aloha dinner show at Polynesian Resort. If time and money permitted we would also be interested in some of the other dinner shows. The House of Blues at Down Town Disney is something I would like to do, but won't be able to.

There's a ton to do outside of Disney, but I'm afraid I couldn't suggest anything in particular.

It was our first time last September, and we spent the whole 10 days in Disney. And still didn't get enough! :goodvibes

I don't know - we go every year and don't leave Disney property. There's always plenty to do!

I also suggest doing some resort hopping for some meals.

Spend some time over at Animal Kingdom Lodge and Kidani Village - you could spend tons of time just looking at the animals and learning a ton from the CM's working there.

We like to take our time in some of the parks - like in Epcot's World Showcase - there's SO much to take in. And again - talk to the CM's - you can learn tons about their countries.

How about either of the Disney water parks. Typhoon Lagoon is fabulous.

We always do at least a couple of things outside od WDW each time we come down to Orlando.

Kennedy Space Center is less than an hour away and is great for all ages

Gatorland is fun, so hokey and my kids loved it

Medievil Times dinner theater in Kissimee was lots of fun

minigolf - there are pretty cheap places just off property that are fun

Prime outlets for shopping

Busch Gardens and SeaWorld are close..we are doing them both this summer

the Gulf of Mexico is a short drive for white sand beaches!!

If I think of more, I will add them!! Have fun!!

Boardwalk
Resort hop and have lunch
Fort Wilderness Campfire sing a long and movie with Chip and dale (free)
Also at FW you could rent boat, go horseback riding, tons to do there!
