Disney Outlet Stores

Has anyone been to the Disney Outlet stores in the area? We went when were there in November and got some great deals, even on things that were still being sold in the parks. We rode with someone who lives in the area, so I'm not sure which one we went to.

Does anyone have a favorite outlet store? If so, where is it and why do you like it?

We go to the one at Orlando Premium Outlets. It is the closest to WDW, just the other side of I-4. Others like the ones at Beltz, but they are part of the same chain. Sometimes they have different items. If you ask and they aren't busy, they will call the other two stores and see if they have a particular size or item.

We went to the one at the Belz outlet last week.. I wish I had known that there was a Disney store at the other one, closer to WDW! That would've saved me from accidentally getting on the Fla Turnpike and going 16 miles outta my way!

I did find some royal blue t-shirts for my boys--saw the same ones at Epcot. Didn't find anything for myself, though.

Next time will try the other store!

Has anyone been to (or heard of) an outlet store in SC? I think it is located at the warehouse where catalog shipments are made. If you've heard of it - is it worth the trip and where exactly is it?

We are going straight from the airport to the belz mall... I want to get the friend & family gifts purchased before we get on disney property.

I see that character warehouse, in mall 2, is bigger, but really what else is different about them??

I would hate to find lower prices in the next store.

I have shopped at character warehouse in anaheim, so i have a basic idea of the sorts of things they carry. cant wait for some good deals!!!!!!

i thought we would also check out the outlet at the Orlando Premuim Outlet, since its closer to the parks,

again, to anyone who has been there.... whats the difference between these stores???

imsayin, that would be the Catalog Outlet Store. It's in Jonesville (near Greenville--I think). There are 7 Catalog Outlet Stores, mostly in the East from Delaware to Texas. They are not related to the outlet stores that you find in WDW. However, they are cast members that work in the Catalog Outlet Stores and paid by Disney.

There used to be one in Hilton Head but it is now closed.

As far as pricing for the there Orlando stores I have never seen a big difference.

We went to a Disney Catalogue Outlet Store at Potomac Mills--didn't buy anything b/c I was soo shocked to see it and didn't really have the means to be a shop-a-holic.

There is also a Disney Outlet in one of the outlet malls in St. Augustine (I think it is the one on the east side of the interstate--more specifically, if I am wrong--it is the indoor outlet mall). There is also one in South Florida at the super huge outlet mall--but I forget it's name at the moment.

In any case--they sell clearance WDW merchandise--have gotten disney character necklances for 99 cents. Have also gotten character dresses for I think maybe $10 or so for an Alice and Cinderella Costume. (Cindy was more expensive than Alice--but they were much cheaper than the park costumes).

I would like to know if the Orlando outlet is the same way. If it is--it is a great way to get your Disney tees and stuff for cheap cheap.

I like character stuff, and have plenty, but what I love is the park stuff, stuff that you can only get at the parks. That's why I like the outlet stores in Orlando, you can actually get stuff that says WDW on it, which you can usually only get inside the parks. And for a huge savings. Like I said, last year we got several things that were still on sale in the park for 50% savings. (Beach Towels for 9.99, same ones that were on sale at World of Disney for $20). I love going there after we have shopped around the World for a few days so I know what a bargain I am getting while I'm there! Will probably take the bus to DTD, cab to the outlet, then cab back to DTD to finish shopping at World of Disney with my AP discount. I just love Park Merchandise at a bargain.

I wish someone knew if the selection is the same at Premier as at Belz. I'm pretty sure we went to Belz last year after hearing the descriptions here.

Don't waste your time at the Character Premier outlet in St. Augustine. We stopped there on the way down to Disney - poor selection.

We bought several things at the Character Premier outlet at the Orlando Premium Outlet - VERY CLOSE TO WDW. Most things seemed to be 50% off.

I have been to the 2 at Belz a couple of times. And it is worth going in both stores. I almost didn't go in both & 1 store had something that I wanted that the other store didn't have. They are in 2 separate buildings but within walking distance, especially if you park between them ~ you can drop off your bags in the car before buying more!

For my November trip, we are renting a car & the car is stopping at the Premium Outlets!

Perhaps b/c I don't go exclusively to souvenir shop--but I disagree that stopping at St. Augustine would be a waste of time. I offered it up to those who didn't know about it. If you are in St. Augustine either as a destination or en route to or from WDW...it is a nice little stop. I have found several nice things when I have gone--but mostly b/c I don't have a mission. I am sure that if I had it in my mind to get a lot of shopping done there, I would probably be disappointed.

We have a Disney Catalog Outlet at Foley, Alabama. If you are visiting the Gulf Shores, AL area you might want to check it out for future reference. It's the Tanger Outlet Center in Foley.

I'll be in Orlando at the end of this week. DH has a conference, so I'll be left to find some way to entertain myself!! I'm planning to check all the outlets out, and I'll try to remember to report back on my findings next week.
