Disney Opening Hours...

Me and the family are going to Orlando in November 2014 staying at Old Key West, we have the DDP and are going through the places we want to eat. Here's my problem...because its not till November Disney obviously havent released opening times for the parks but I know the opening times from November 2013, are they likely to be the same times and to go off them or are they likely to be different opening times this year? Any comments would be appreciated...thanks

Generally, the park hours will be the same (or similar) in terms of opening/closing. The things that may change will be the nights MK closes early for MVMCP and the parks/days for Extra Magic Hours.

Park hours are usually available around 6 months prior so they should be published by the time you have to worry about making ADRs.

Sorry Wilma, I hate to do it as most often you're spot on, but hours will move around in November this year compared to last due to Thanksgiving week (which was *really* late in November in 2013) so Steve you'll need to compare the 2 holiday weeks vs each other, and the weeks prior and after rather than just compare date for date.

That said, as you noted, provisional dates should be out earlier enough for ADR's so hopefully a moot point

Agreed, although that is why I used the word 'generally' because, with the exception of the Thanksgiving period, they should be much the same. There is only one day (in terms of date) difference between Thanksgiving this year and last though so I would think there shouldn't be that much of a change.

Sorry Steve, I shouldn't have assumed that you would know when Thanksgiving would be and that it would affect opening hours.

We're there from the 6th to the 20th (2 weeks) so I think I will be gone before thanksgiving...

Thanksgiving is late again this year - November 27, so you should be okay to figure the times will be similar to last year.

Perfect time to go...Thanksgiving week is so busy.
We are there at that sort of time as well. It is still busy at weekends though because of the food and wine festival. Also MVMCP nights have some impact as well
The hours do stay pretty much the same each year and even if the park is not open very late you can get so much done as its not very busy.
