Hello all. I am going to be in Disney starting tomorrow for 8 full days, I am going to attempt to stay on the Weight Watcher Program, while still enjoying a dole whip or two! I've read here that a 1/2 cup of dole whip is 2 points! :cool1:

My goal is to do the best I can and if I have a setback at one meal, well there is always the next meal to get back on track. :thumbsup2

I'm hoping that this journal will somehow help someone else going to WDW on WW or any kind of diet and see how much they can eat on still stay on their program. :)

For starters I have packed a whole tote bag of WW food  Mostly their bread, which I don't know if I will get down there, the english muffins and snacks. We will be staying in a OKW 1 bedroom villa so I will have full access to a full kitchen. We generally always eat two lite meals in the room and have our main meal out. We will make a Walmart stop so I'm hoping to fill in with some Veggies and fruits to round out my food. :stir:

My flight is early so I'll sign off here. See you tomorrow live from the OKW! :yay:

As promised this is coming live to you from the Disney's OKWest. :thumbsup2 This is day 3 and so far I am doing pretty good on WW. I have to put a disclaimer though we really eat most of our meals in the villa so my Disney eating Vacation will probably be very different then most of you.

Sunday - our day started out with our flight being canceled. It took a bit of adjusting but we did get out. Lesson learned #1 always buy trip cancellation insurance by your air carrier. It is a lifesaver. Go online and buy any seat you can on whatever flight you can get on. Do not worry about the last minute price. If your airline doesn't reimburse you for the additional cost the flight insurance will pick it up. Best $40 I could have spent! It was not only a life saver but it probably saved me from eating a box of Duncan donuts in the airport. I thought ahead to pack two WW muffins in my bag so by the time we finally got settled on the plane and in the air, it was great to have something I could eat, knew the point value and enjoyed it without a bit of guilt. In case anyone is wondering the Biscottti cookies that jet blue gives out are 3 points. I enjoyed my WW 3 point muffin much more. :cool1:

By the time we got settled in the OKW everyone was really hungry. (I am traveling with my husband and two adult sons. (20 and 17) We went to the ESPN Club in the Boardwalk area for something to eat. Let me mention that no meal is eaten in my house without a sports program on the TV :happytv:
On the way there I decided what I really, really wanted was hot wings. I really love them there and it's about the only place I ever eat them. When I got there I read over the whole menu and decided that they had a breaded chicken pattie that had the hot wings sauce on it :thumbsup2 That fit the bill to me. I ordered it with a side of cucumber salad rather then the fries. I'll be honest fries I can just about have anywhere and most of the time I can take or leave them. It was very easy to leave them this time, what I wanted was that hot wing piece of chicken and I enjoyed every bit of it! :yay: I had plenty of points and thought of that phone commercial about rollover minutes. Points like rollover minutes are good to use. :smokin:

After eating we went over to Walmarts and brought some basic staples for me for the room.... turkey breast, some low salt ham, a WW pizza role meal (it came with 2 in the box), a box of WW fudge ice cream bars, some fruit, raisin bran cereal, WW yogurt and water. I had bought my WW pita and some English muffins with me. I was glad I did as the Walmart's by Disney other then the frozen food and the yogurt did not carry any other WW project. :)

I'm afraid the post may get to long and not post so I am going to put Monday in a separate post.
