Worlds of Fantasy-would a 7year old boy enjoy this or is it more for the younger set? I'm thinking it might be disappointing since you don't get the character interaction as in the parks. What characters are in Worlds of Fantasy?
Not sure it would be worth the money but maybe I am missing something.

They usually include the princes, the incredibles and aspects that keep the boys interested. My DS went up until 9/10 and enjoyed it. Not so much now as it is "ice skating" and Disney does not even factor in. The specific of the show should be on the Disney on Ice site. They usually have a description of each show. It is more expensive, but if you can get front row seats on the corners of the ice, there is usually some interaction or at least a really close view. We went over Christmas break and Rafiki asked DD to hold his walking stick for him during the show. It was pretty cool.

After watching it this time, I don't know how any boys would find this interesting. It was very princess focused, and if you kids don't love Ariel, Rapunzel and Merida, I don't think it would be worth going to. My husband who loves the movies said "Man, they are alienating all the boys!" and I agree. For a 7 year old boy, I would pass.

I don't know the specifics on that particular show, but the 100 Years of Magic show passed through our town a few weeks ago. We had actually already seen it a few years ago, but we went again since it wasn't such a "princess" show. My DS who is almost 7 was fascinated by all the technical aspects of the show....how things worked, where things went, etc. He also was more interested in how they did different tricks and stuff with the skating. We went opening night and got the cheap tickets ($15) but there really isn't a bad seat in the house. I think he will still enjoy the Disney on Ice shows for a few more years as long as it isn't one focused primarily on the princesses.

We just saw it this weekend. It started with Mickey & friends, then Cars, then Little Mermaid, then fairies for the first half. The second half was completely Toy Story 3. Kids of both genders loved it, in my opinion. Ours are DD6 and DS2, but we had several others with us, including 2 7yo boys. Everyone had a blast!! I would recommend it!!

We did Disney on Ice when it came through our town and my dd loved it. However, we got really cheap tickets. There are lots of offers for cheap tickets. We only paid $10 or $12 for our tickets. I believe we got them through the YMCA but we could also get them through GIANT (it was in the GIANT stadium at Hershey).

You are thinking of Rockin' Ever After. That's the show with Ariel, Rapunzel, Merida and Belle.

Yes, thank you for correcting me! Oops!!! My tickets just said Disney on Ice, so I didn't know there was a difference when I posted. Sorry, OP!!!

We went last year with my 7 and 14 year old. I was okay but nothing spectacular and we probably won't go again for a while.

My 5 year old son LOVED Worlds of Fantasy - the Cars part especially, and almost the whole 2nd half was dedicated to Toy Story 3, which he thought was awesome.

I think the Tinkerbell part was a little boring, but other than that we really enjoyed it. The Barbie and Ken closet dress-up scene was just as funny as in the movie, maybe more so :)
