Disney on Ice?

Didn't know if anyone might be able to help out with some questions. Is 2 1/2 too young for a Disney on Ice show? If not, is it still worth it to go if we can't sit in the front rows? I am trying to decide if I want to get tickets or not and the best available seats are in the "Loge" area - first tier. Factoring in parking also brings up the price, but I think my DD might actually enjoy it. She is already a Disney fan and we are bringing her back to WDW in a few months. Any advice or thoughts will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

2 1/2 is not too young to go to Disney on Ice. We started taking our three when they were 2 and they had a really time. We have never had front row seats and the kids have been able see and enjoy the show...and we have sat everywhere - lower level & nose bleed section.

Not at all! We just went this weekend with DS10, DS2, and DD1. Both DS2 and DD1, loved it!! Be prepared for the melt down when it's over though. DS2 did not want to leave, and cried the whole way home.

It totally depends on the child. DS went at 4 and was really bored. He loves hockey games and the circus, but Disney on ice was not a hit.

We took our girls when the oldest was not quite 2 years old and the youngest was 6 months. The 2 yr old LOVED it and even teh 6 month old seemed to really enjoy it. We sat in the top of the middle level and thought the seats were very good for the price!

Sometimes they offer deals for opening night. We just went for $12. I think my son enjoyed it but he had not seen all of the movies that were in it so it didn't totally keep his attention (2 1/2 years) He watched it but he has done better at the Playhouse Disney show, Sesame St., and Imagination Movers.

I agree with everyone! I took my dd to her first show around 18 months and she loved it! We took both kids (then 4 and 18months) last year and again we had a hit. I will say my son loved the first half and when intermission came he thought it was over and was ready to go. He never did pay attention after that! We are trying again in about a month.

This was our 4th year as a family going. DD is 4.5 and DS is 2.5. (My DD was only 1.5 the first time we went). They both loved the show, and have loved the show in the past. This time around we did have fairly close up seats, but we haven't in the past. The way it is set up, I think everyone in the house has a good seat. I say definately take her, you won't regret it!

We took our son shortly after her turned 2. To be honest he liked the Circus better! I think he enjoyed the experience as a whole. However, he wasn't wowed like I thought he would be.

I agree with a previous poster in that next time he'll enjoy it more because he will be more familiar with the different characters/movies. Last time all he knew was that he was going to see Mickey & Minnie...so every time they skated off stage he was ready to go. He didn't fully appreciate the other characters!

we are actually taking our 2 year old next weekend, the 20th i believe. My FIL got discount tickets thru work so we are all going, me dh, DS9 DS 2 and my MIL. I'm not sure if hes gonna sit thru it all but I figure there are enough adults to be able to take him for a walk around if need be. I'm hoping he will be capitvated enough though because he loves disney characters.

we started going at this age, depends on the child, i guess, but my kids loved it. i just used the code MADHATTER on ticketmaster for 4 ticket family pack for 44 dollars, plus fees, the seats werent bad, either, near the back of the first level.

I took my DD 2.5 in jan. SHE LOVED IT.we had a great time.

We also took our kids when they were very young and they loved it! One great thing about little ones is that you can stop by the dollar store before hand and get glow necklaces and glow sticks. My kids never even asked for the expensive light up souvenirs they were selling- I just waited until the guy came by and then pulled the stuff I'd purchased out of my bag.

We took twin DS and DD when they were 2 1/2 in December because someone gave us free tickets. They LOVED it! They still talk about it almost daily. They were sitting in the nose bleeds and still loved it.
We got $12 seats for Valentine's Day so we are taking them again.

We took DD to her first show when she was almost 3. She loved it. Well, I really loved it too! DS went to his first show when he was 6 months (he was sleeping in his infant car seat the entire time!

Thanks everyone for your input. I went ahead and bought tickets to bring her this weekend and am getting excited as I prepare her.She is already talking about going to see "minnie mickey ice skating" and the princesses too. I've never been to one before myself, so it will be a first for both of us!
