Disney On Ice - Toy Story 3

Just returned - show was good.

Act 1 was Toy Story in general (not really TS3).

Act 2 they go to Sunnyside, and the story plays out. The Ken fashion show was well done. :thumbsup2

FYI - before the show started, a woman spoke - she was telling about her nephew Tanner who has Muscular Dystrophy.
A portion of the proceeds from the Disney On Ice show is going to raise funds for Muscular Dystrophy if you use the code TANNER when you buy your tickets.

For those that have seen the show, would your reccomend for children 11 and 12 years old or is it more for younger kids? They liked the movie ok but werent super excited about it. :confused3

At that age - it is purely the child. Their interests vary so vastly from one kid to another.

My kids who are 6 and 8 enjoyed it, but there is a WORLD of difference between my kids ages and yours.

The storyline is the same as the movie - but obvioulsy much condensed. It is a bit hokey, and in fact I would say if the movie lost their interest this would too... as the movie had a better flow, more darmatic effects, and a lot more humor to it. The ice show just kinda hits on the bullet points.

The last scene was nice - when Andy (symbolically) was going through his toys to give to Molly - as he pulled each one out of the box, they were in a spotlight life size and frozen on the ice. Was cute.

I am a little bit older then 11 - 12 (by about 30 years or so) and I enjoyed it. But when I was 11 or 12, I may have thought it wasn't cool! However, I have redefined cool as I got older ;) .

I'm 22 and I'll be going with my friends this Saturday!! But then, we're all big Disney fans after all.

I started watching Disney on Ice when I was younger and my siblings were around 11 and 12 and they definitely enjoyed the shows. It's still a lot of fun!
