I'm taking my 3 girls on Wednesday night so I'll let you know how it is! :)

Hi kritter

Im taking my twins 5 and dd 8 to this on Dec. 29th. Its one of their christmas gifts. Sorry I cant say if its a winner or not yet but Id be happy to let you know after we go :)
Took them last year to Nemo on Ice, and it was very good. Perfect in length IMO. Just as they started to get a little fidgety the show was wrapping up. I was so relieved about that. Im hoping to find some princess related items on sale after the holiday to prebuy for them. The toys they sell at the shows are so expensive, and honestly they arent what I would call toys that get played with very much. More like toys that sit in the toy box after a few days.

Hope you have a great time, Ill post after we see it.

I took DD who is almost 2 1/2 last weekend and it was great! I think it was definitely more entertaining for her because it moved pretty quickly, spending a few minutes on each princess story as opposed to 2 hours of just one story. She enjoyed it quite a bit only she wanted to run out of the ice and hug Mickey and couldn't understand why she couldn't!

great please let me know..thanks...

Great idea about pre buying the toys..we saw sesame street live on stage and the toys were expensive and the kids never really played with them once we came home...Please let me know how it is...thanks so much.....

We are taking our twins, who will be 5 soon, in January! We are really excited about it. Has anyone else heard that the kids get dressed up as their favorite princesses for the show? I think that is cute & was thinking of having my girls dress up but I don;t want them to be the only ones.

I'll also be at the Boston show 12/29 with dd age 5. We did finding nemo last year with $5 group tickets. Our seats were way high up and once you got over the steepness factor which may be unique to the fleet center or whatever its current name is the view was excellent. DD knows the only thing she may be allowed to get if they have it again is the snowcone in a cup. Last year for $8.00 she got a cute finding nemo cup with a snowcone type drink and that was probably the most practical and cheapest item. I did get a tiny tinkerbell light stick thingy at the disney store the other day for $4.50 which she can bring.

We just saw it on the 17th in Albany NY. Loved the show. My daughter is a big CINDY fan and 8 years old. She loved it. The costumes are just beautiful. I wanted to go back the next day and see it again. I highly recommend it for anyone to see. The parents loved it just as much as the kids. There was one little girl in front of us about 2 1/2 maybe 3 that lost interest in it. There was a child right behind me about that age maybe younger that sat and kicked the back of the chair most of the time I was there. I think that age might be too young to sit for so long. I would say 5 and up is a good age as the other little girl we were with loved it and she was 5.

yes- I saw it when my DD was about 6 and my DS was 5. It was realy good. Even my son liked it.
Take the girls- and please let them wear their princess dresses. That picture is the sweetest- they are so cute.
Yes- pre-buying toys is a good idea. We go to DisOnIce almost every year so I have my kids take their light chasers from Disney World. You could pick up some glo-necklaces from the dollar store. Maybe some candy necklaces. The snacks and souveniers are REALLY pricey.
Also- If you have Disney Visa- they have a $4 discount on tickets right now. Check your special offers.

I had a $5 off coupon, and I bought the $18 seats, so it worked out to be $13 a piece. Our seats were first row in that section though, but in all the Disney on Ice Shows I've seen, as long as I wasn't in the nosebleed seats, every seat was a great view of the ice.

Lots of kids were dressed in princess dresses! My DD won't get her Cinderella dress until tomorrow so she just wore her Cindy poncho!

I was at the Albany show too! Were you behind me? :rotfl: My DD did very well actually, a lot better than I had expected!

I took our daughter who was 2 and she LOVED it, also my son who is 4 and he loved it too, all the prince charmings, the little mermaid portion with Sabastian, etc. kept him upbeat and interested, and he loved the second half with Cinderella too, of course my daughter loved the whole thing, GREAT show, I was impressed.

Buy your tickets at the box office if possible- you will save alot of money. If you order them on the web you pay $$$ in fees- Even the Disney On Ice webiste links you to Ticketmaster and the service fees are ridiculous.

thanks so much you are the best...awesome can not wait to order the tickets......

We did it last winter when DD was 4 and she LOVED, LOVED, LOVED it! She even went home and scrubbed the floors in the kitchen afterwards so she could be more like the princesses (Cinderella)...LOL.

My only suggestion, pay the extra for front row seats. We debated between the cost of front row and the cost of second row seats and went w/second row....we were right by the ice and had a great view, but front gets to shake hands w/all the skaters.

The set is beautiful as well as costumes and story. Frankly, my kids NEVER ask for the toy junk at the shows (maybe I'm lucky) so I don't sweat the sales of all the junk outside. The only thing we always buy at these is the PROGRAM BOOKS...there was a bundle set for the program and coloring book w/a fake rose for like $20. My kids love reviewing the pictures in the program afterwards and reading the story again.

oh great advice so I should ask for the front row seats...????

Yes, ask for front row. They were the top price bracket when we bought them, but we chose to go one price bracket down and get the next row...price difference was about $5/ticket but the front was definitely worth it. There was not a single bad seat around the perimeter of the ice and the skaters spin in every direction for the crowd to see.
