Just got back from the evening show of Disney on Ice at Wembley. What can i say except it was wonderful, magical and everything I'd expect from Disney (including crazy high prices for merchandise :rotfl2: ) All the favourites were there: Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald and Daisy. the show was divided into the 4 stories of Peter Pan, 101 Dalmations, the Little Mermaid and Lilo and Stitch in a very abbreviated version. Peter Pan and gang did fly, Captain Hook had his pirate ship, Cruella De Ville did the most amazing display on the ice, Ursula was big and scary and Stitch rocked out Elvis style. It was very clever and the characters played their parts perfectly.

For anyone going who is interested in prices, this is what we spent tonight:

Popcorn bucket, £6.50
Candy floss (comes with dalmation hat), £6.00
Peter Pan glow in the dark sword, £8.00
Singing Little Mermaid light up wand, £12.00
Programme, £7.50
Small Stitch soft toy, £9.00
4 drinks, £6.10
Parking, £10,00

They did have plenty more gorgeous stuff. T-shirts were £15, Stitch ice slushy cups were £7.50, a Lilo doll £20!!, Peter Pan soft toy £17!! to name a few. They did not have cash machines inside so you need to have cash ready as they will not take cards. It was better than Toy Story last year by far, but maybe its because I love these stories more. DD sang along with Ariel and DS laughed at Goofy and had his sword ready to fight captain Hook should the need arise :rotfl:

To anybody going, you will have a fantastic time, there is not a bad view to be had and please take lots of cash to avoid dissapointment,

Much love and pixie dust,
Claire xx

Sounds fantastic Claire (apart from the high prices, that is). Unfortunately, no Disney on Ice here in NI so will just have to rely on hearing about it from others.

Sounds wonderful ~ Glad you had such a great time.

sounds great :) we are going next month to the NIA birmingham :Pinkbounc
i better start saving for the merchandise :rotfl:

Thanks so much for posting this. We are going tomorrow so I'd better go up to the cash point later!

Claire, it sounds like you had a great time, those prices are a bit steep though !! :scared1: Glad you enjoyed yourself and I hope that everyone else who is going to see it has a great time too :)

That sounds excellent Claire!

I wish some of these things were shown in in the South West, just occasionally, Our nearest venue is Birmingham which is 160+ miles away.

Just got back from this afternoons performance. I've never been to a Disney on Ice show before, and I was very impressed. Fantastic show - anyone still to go will have a terrific time.

Next years' show - Autumn 2006 is Disney Princesses. Tickets go on sale in April for various venues but didn't see Ireland at all on the list.

So glad you enjoyed it. :Pinkbounc I would have loved to have seen this.

Sue

It seems that they hiked the prices for merchandise up in london.I saw it in manchester and the snow cone cups were £5-quite a difference in price don't you think :earseek:

Well that's just cheeky! Not all of us are loaded down south you know :rotfl2:

DD, DS and I were there on Monday afternoon - in Block 6! It was our first time too and we loved the show but found it quite hard to hear what was being said - wasn't sure if that was because of the sound system, the acoustics or the folks behind who didn't shut up chatting! :confused3 Anyway, the performance was excellent - my fave part was Lilo & Stitch - and of course it was great to see Mickey and Minnie again! :earsboy:
