I forgot to say in chat last night that I went to Disney on Ice - Beauty and the Beast, on Saturday night at London Arena and it was really, really good :):)

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

You forgot?! LOL! Well that's probably because you were on-topic Sam :teeth: !!
Glad you enjoyed it :) !

Hi Sam, we went last Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed it too. Really looking forward to next years.

I did think they could have interacted with the audience a bit more but I guess it would be quite difficult as the speech is pre recorded.

Where by did you sit? I'd love to go for the rink side seats next year but I think they're around £27 each!

We took the Herberts last week too - we sat on the south side on row M so we had a good view and the tickets were about £12.50 plus usual rip off booking fees etc so they worked out at around £15 each.

We like to buy a programme and were really miffed that they were £8.50 each:o :o The other merchandise was a rip off too but DH is such a soft touch he bought the bucket of popcorn @ £6, and two of the shaved ices in keepsake mugs 1 'Chip' cup @ £5 and 1 Beauty and the Beast @ £6.50 :o :o

We were at Bluewater earlier in the day and I suggested we might buy something for each of them from there but DH insisted that it isn't the same (tell me about it!!) and that the trip was a surprise anyway!! Herberts didn't find out until they say the sign outside London Arena - boy, it's worth it to see the looks on their faces!!

Anyway, the Herberts though it was better than Toy Story last year which was surprising as I though being boys, they might have though BATB would be a bit too girly!!

Hi Fiona, we took one of Benjie's friends with us and managed to get away with just buying a program and one of those flashing swords from outside the park. By the time the show had ended one of the swords had stopped flashing completely so when we went past all the sellers at the end of the show I asked if they'd swop it. I was expecting a mouth full of abuse but the bloke very happily swopped it for another!!

I think I enjoyed the Toy Story one a little better but always feel it goes on just a bit too long!! - I can't sit still in one place for very long!!

Last year when we booked the tickets we had throuh the post details of the toys which they would be selling at the show - we bought one of the buzz lightyear arms and when we went to the show they were much more expensive than what we'd paid!! Unfortunately I'd taken to battery out of it so it didn't leak and had forgotten to put it back in - so it wouldn't flash or make the noise so I went down to the stall and asked them to change it - which they did!!!! DH says I'm very ebarrassing but it just takes a bit of cheek!!!

Well we went without kids but didn't feel out of place at all.

I bought a programme and at £8.50 that was a trifle expensive but you did get a free "plastic" rose with it ;)

Didn't have any refreshments - we thought as we weren't going to be there that long no need. We got there just as it was about to start.

The seats were a bit cramped - I have no idea what side we were on but it was Door 9, Row Q.

All in all I thought that for £15 it wasn't bad.

But the merchandise was typical Disney "captive" audience.

I really wanted some Minnie flashing light ears but for £10 I thought better of it.

We saw Beauty and Beast last year in Texas. DS just had to have that Chip cup. Six dollars! It now sits in the cupboard.

Glad to hear you all enjoyed it. Disney on Ice is my least fav. Disney thing . When the kids were younger they went every year with both grandmas & DH & I went Christmas shopping.

This year I'm taking my Brownies to see Beauty & the Beast at Sheffield Arena in November .

So after good reviews from you guys I'm hoping I'll enjoy it.

We went to the 11am performance yesterday at Birmingham NIA.

It was really good wasn't it!! Next year it looks like it will be Disneys 100 years of Magic on Ice - this sounds great!!

Our DS thought the moving spoons were very good!! lol.

I agree about the price of stuff - it is sooo expensive. A programmer with a plastic rose was £8.50 and DS HAD to have a plastic mickey figure for £11!!!

Glad you enjoyed the ice show, Sam. I wish it come to my area again....I haven't seen a live Belle for 6 years now.:(

Did you like the girl who skated for Belle? Is she a nice Belle?
