The worst possible situation has arisen for my family and the family going with us. I play hockey with my best friend and his wife. This coming Saturday we're on a plane to WDW for the week. A week ago, in a game, I broke my left fibula. As crazy as it may be, this past Friday, my friends wife broke the exact same bone.
I'm a massive boot (fortunately no cast), but no weight bearing for 4-6 weeks minimum. We won't know her situation til she sees the ortho sometime this week, but her break will probably need a cast at minimum, if not possible surgery. Surgery rules her out of the trip entirely, obviously. If she gets the cast or boot, we think we can still go, but rent scooters.
Has anyone done Disney with a broken leg? Even if we get scooters, are we allowed to use crutches up to the ride itself? Do they hold our crutches? Any advice/recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
