Miss Cammie has started another report!! No more worrying about how to keep myself entertained!!! I rushed right over when I heard the news!!! This is the Best Ride in the Park!!!

Hey y'all!!

Okay so...did I mention that I we have a "special events" section to this trip?!

well we DO!!

the kiddies are going to be doing a Pirate Cruise this year! It's the one leaving from the Grand Floridian! I think they will really enjoy it. I KNOW Teddy will. Sally will too...even if she does end up having to partner with her little brother.

this drives Sally insane...even though secretly I think she enjoys having someone she KNOWS to partner up with!

I was able to book a last minute ADR for The Grand Floridian Cafe for breakfast for Jay and me!! It's a SURPRISE!!!

Oh but wait...there's more...

I have also arranged for a cake from the Grand Floridian Bakery to be brought to our table at our Cindy's Gala Feast dinner! Jay and I are celebrating our second anniversary (for the second year in a row at Disney!). The lady I spoke to was very nice and said the cake was just FABULOUS...(I chose a white cake with strawberry filling and white chocolate icing. To Sally it will be Vanilla...*ahem*... ) It will say Happy Anniversary and all of our names. The kids get SUCH a kick out of seeing their names on cakes!

I decided to do the cake at Cindy's Gala Feast b/c I've heard that the GF bakery cakes are the best and it seems less of a hassle to have the cake made at the resort where we have our ADR. I've read the cakes thread on the Restaurants board...there can be complications when trying to arrange delivery and such...and we don't want any of those!!!

oh but wait...there's STILL more...

I'm also having Chocolate covered strawberries delivered to the room along with two wine glasses on our ACTUAL anniversary.

AND...

I'm having welcome baskets for the kids made...not huge...but they'll have binoculars and starter pin trading lanyards and new fat pens for characters signature getting...and some other odds and ends.

that's it.

did I go WAY overboard? I know I did. But I'm just so proud of the kids. They've had a long year of massive transition and I want them to have a magical trip. We don't go overboard all year long and I know I can't fix their lives with "stuff"...but oh it does FEEL good to be surprised.

I guess I just know what it feels like to always expect "the other shoe to drop". I hate it that they feel that way...especially Sally. I don't want them to worry that something bad might happen to steal their joy. I want them start this trip wondering what next GOOD THING is around the corner!

Jay too...he needs surprises and some effort put forth on HIS behalf.

I might be an obsessive compulsive, bossy and neurotic nutcase...but I LOVE my family and I throw all my might at surprising them when I can!

I'm REALLY excited for this trip.

I often think of Sally when I see rule breakers. I feel like I know your family from your last TR. You are a great step-mom and I hope no "party poopers" dampen the kids Disney trip!

True...very true...it will be nice when your biggest girl is just a teeny bit bigger...then she can be in charge of your littlest for a short time...then you can ship the boys off to pirate hunt and send the girls to have "sister bonding time"...



Have you taken a gander at the cakes sticky thread on the restaurants board? It's HEAVENLY to look at! There is a picture of a dark chocolate cake covered with huge strawberries...oh my goodness. I would have chosen that one but for Sally's extreme bias against chocolate that is not the in form of an m&m!!

What a coincidence ... we're also celebrating our anniversary at the Gala Feast dinner. We'll be there on Sept 24th.

This will be our 9th anniversary but the 2nd year in a row that we'll be at Disney. We'll be celebrating with our 2 DDs and 10 other friends (ages 1 - 38) that will be traveling with us.

I should think about a cake.

Some requests and reminders.

If you see a wild looking child on the plane in the seat next to you, switch seats with Jay.

To add to your checklists, multiple pairs of underwear in various sizes for those parents that just seem to forget.

I hope you have a very relaxing and wonderful vacation, but I am not going to lie, can't wait for you to return so we can follow the life and times of the CAMBELLSCOTTS at Disney.

I love that you are including the names of the entire family. Tells a lot about how much you care to keep you all united!

I'm in! MissCammie I am a BIG fan. I quote you now and then in my TR.. and though it's DL so it'll never be read by anybody over here, I still give you your props! The exception being once when I called my husband a "Tall Drink of Water" I didn't want to quote you so it would have looked like you were calling him the tall drink.... that could get messy.

I can just hear you in my head (you sound like Annie Potts from Designing Women in my head) and everything you say is cute because YOUR'RE Southern! There you have it. I am a BIG fan just like everybody else
