I'm looking for ideas on doing a unisex Disney nursery theme. I want to stick with the fab 5 character-wise. I've seen cute crib bedding on the Disney Store web site, but am not sure of the quality.Does anyone have any insight? My husband and I have lots of animation art that we would use for wall decor It's just bedding and accessories that have us wondering if a cute Disney nursery is possible. Unfortunately, I don't sew, so making my own bedding is not an option.

6 years ago we were able to make an adorable unisex Disney nursery. We found the Mickey plaid bedding, lamp, wall decorations at Burlington Coat Factory. The wall border we found on clearance at DisneyShopping.com. I had actually seen Cowboy Mickey curtains (at an outlet) that had blue and red checkered squares on them, just like the border, comforter, and bumper so we bought those too! We had two boys, so the color scheme worked out great! If we had had girls, we would have just emphasized the red more than the blue. (My husband wasn't into pastels, so we stuck with the primary colors--worked best with the characters.) Plaid is great for unisex decorating! Also, we had large plush fab 5 characters from the parks/Disney World, so we used them in the room as well. Good luck and enjoy!

I know you said you want to stick with the fab five but Target has really cute classic winnie the pooh nursery stuff. If you like pooh and friends you may want to check it out.

We just finished up our "Disney" themed nursery. I decided to do a broader theme than just the "Fab 5" or specific characters. We have Disney art on the walls, I bought a bunch of Disney story books on our last trip, and we bought a special "my furst bear" from Steiff in Germany at Epcot.

I specifically decided against a whole bedding set. 1. I couldn't find one that I really liked. 2. Not supposed to use blankets/comforters for babies. 3. There seems to be varying schools of thought on the safety of bumpers.

Based on all those reasons I decided (for myself -- not judging anyone who does anything differently) that it didn't make sense to spend $100 or more on a set of bedding when I could only use the sheets.

I decided to be practical and register for all white sheets. That way I could bleach them when necessary -- since I will apparently be changing them often.

The artwork on the walls and decor around the room really make seem Disney to me even without the bedding.

Last time I checked, Wal-Mart had the EXACT bedding as the Disney website, except cheaper unless Disney has a good sale and free shipping. And now Wal-Mart does free shipping site to store. They had the Mickey/Minnie set and the princess set. :thumbsup2

Well, we are in the same boat lol.. I did see some awesome pictures at the Disney Store that are like drawings of the characters... I saw a Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Donald, but I dont remember who else.. Im sure there were others though.. they also had blankets and lamps and stuff that matched.. but the bedding is my issue lol all the Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, etc.. bedding I find is very boyish :(
