Wow and I thought Cedar Point’s Fastlane was annoying, this takes the cake. Hopefully it won’t go over the way they hope.

Not even considering the price, this option is a pain in the backside.
This is the system Busch gardens has and it’s annoying because you have a little barcode for each person that has to be scanned and so you have to take your phone up and swipe swipe swipe for scans not to mention they sell out early in the day so you’re picking the times for the rides early in the day for the rides and the transactions are all separate so it’s a lot of hassle. Would be easier at Disney as MDE would allow for linking your party at least. But I’m picturing all the swiping and scanning for those not using magic bands etc and with more rides and more parks I really hope WDW doesn’t do this.

I'm sorry, pay PER attraction as you ride? What is this, a cheap carnival? This is the worst of all the iterations I've seen and it's real??
They already had since the start in 2016 in Disneand Shanghai.
Paris had already a paid option with one time all FP rides passes for 80-100 euro and a more expensive unlimited pas

But Disneyland Paris has about 8 FP rides. It was never that each ride had it, like in WDW. Also we had no FP for shows or characters. They have experimented a lot in the last few years for the Princess Pavillion, but nothinf really worked.

Free Fastpasses to be replaced by Disney Premier Access at Disneyland Paris from 8 euros per person per attraction
Rumor is, this is what's coming for DLR and WDW- just a rumor at this point though. We'll see, but I'd bet we see something very similar with perhaps some perks to on site guests.

In all seriousness though, not only does this sound like it could get expensive, it sounds like a real PITA to mess with all day (and can you imagine if the pricing is dynamic over the course of the day the hyper-planner nightmare this creates!?).

I hope if (god-forbid) we go this route onsite guests at least get some level of advantage.

ETA: If we *have* to go this route, I'd much rather pay my $10 sacrifice in the morning and then have the ability to scan and go on FOP or whatever at whatever time I want. That's probably a pipe dream, though.

I do think that if this stick around and comes stateside, dynamic pricing won't be far off. Seems like a great way (for Disney, not consumers) to shift crowds around and maximize revenue.

Totally ok with paying for FP but not in this fashion. I was hoping for or expecting something more similar to max pass or even what universal has. I'll hold out hope but there's not much left!

Yeah. I would rather not pay for FP but would consider it. This is not a very good implementation though for us.

It's really going to be interesting to see how something like this goes over at DLR. The APs are still trying to adjust to having to pay top dollar for park entry. Overlay a system where they need to pay for rides too and there could be a revolt.
