Park Hours Extension Hits All Four Disney World Parks This Summer

Magic Kingdom
  • August 1-9: Park hours extended 9am to 10pm (previously 9am to 9pm)

EPCOT
Beginning in August, there will be longer hours on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

  • August 1, 6-8, 13-15, 20-22, 27-29: Park hours extended 11am to 10pm (previously 11am to 9pm)

Disney’s Hollywood Studios
In late August and September, Hollywood Studios will add an extra hour to the park operating schedule.

  • August 29-31: Park hours extended 9am to 9pm (previously 9am to 8pm)
  • September 1-25: Park hours extended 9am to 9pm (previously 9am to 8pm)
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Disney’s Animal Kingdom sees the most days with extended theme park hours, beginning in late July.

  • July 26-30: Park hours extended 8am to 8pm (previously 8am to 7pm)
  • August 1-September 25: Park hours extended 8am to 7pm (previously 8am to 6pm

Yes! I've been waiting for this! We are there the first two weeks of August. I'll take whatever I can get!

For the rest of July MK is opened 13 hrs/day, EP HS & AK 11 hrs/day with the last week in July seeing AK open 12 hrs on weekdays.

Then August starts with MK 13, EP 11, and HS & AK 12 hrs.

MK staying open to 10p and AK to 8p is much better. Plus you can hang for at least another hour to take in the night.
In Aug. Epcot is only open 11 hrs on Fri-Sun...weekdays is still the 10 hrs. MK is only open for 13 the first week or so and goes back to just 12 hrs once boo bash starts.

Definitely check them out. It's better than a moderate resort, and sometimes the prices are actually better than a value resort.
I will have to do that. We normally stay at Fort Wilderness. My "room" is pretty nice and comes with a full kitchen, full size refrigerator and 4 TVs, including one on the "patio". :)

We do occasionally fly down for long weekends when we could still get an annual pass. S&G will definitely be on the shorter list next time.

I asked this on the parks board but no one seemed to know- For anyone who has been to HEA since it’s return, are they allowing guests to fill in the garden areas that were used for dessert parties and the Cinderella’s dining package?

I saw one person say that at least one of the areas is reserved for people on VIP tours.

Happy 66th Anniversary to Disneyland Park! :earsboy:::MickeyMopluto:

Not to nudge in. But, I love that I share my birthday with DL. While I have lived in Texas most of my life, I am a California girl at heart (born in San Diego, 58 years ago today). When people talk about famous celebrities they share bdays with, I feel I got a fitting one. :)
