I find it so weird that Disney built an entire land in animal kingdom that was hyped as this crazy experience at night, and insist on limiting the nighttime hours you can experience it. I guess this time of year it’s not as big an issue, but as someone who goes in June, the 7 o’clock closing times baffle me
I agree it’s crazy that it’s so neat to see pandora at night but to only have an hour to experience it is a let down. They also had a beautiful projector show on the tree of life. We had our most memorable Kilimanjaro safari when they started doing them at night, let’s just say the lions really are more active at night, the driver didn’t really know what to say 🤣. I think they struggle to keep people in the park for the full day there, especially right now with Everest down.

I've often heard that they do this for a couple of reasons;
1 there is no artificial lighting in the animal areas so guests wouldn't be able to see them
2 Its a quiet time form most of the animals. Yes, there are some that are nocturnal, but for the most part the ones you see there are not.

Interesting! I guess if you’re not physically with the person so can’t scan their QR code, they can tell you their linking code to enter manually, as long as you do it within 30 minutes.

Nice new tech. Now if only they’d fix the problems with the DVC member digital membership card tech!
Out of curiosity, what problems with the DVC card are you referring to? I'd like to be aware before I run into them!

The physical blue DVC member cards expired December 31, and the digital blue and white member cards on the member website are being replaced with digital cards linked via MagicMobile to a smartphone wallet (Apple Wallet, Google Pay). The digital cards in MM have codes DVC Y, meaning eligible for DVC discounts and perks, and DVC ND, meaning not eligible for discounts or perks. The trouble is that if a member doesn’t have a smartphone or chooses not to use MM or the digital wallet, they won’t be able to access discounts or perks they’re eligible for. Furthermore, many members who are in fact eligible for discounts and perks have the notation DVC ND due to faulty programming by Disney IT. Supposedly this will be fixed by tomorrow, but very few of us are confident that it will happen. See this thread for details and ongoing developments.
