Disney World Will Waive Cancellation Fees Through November 17th Due to Hurricane Nicole

Disney World has announced that they will continue to offer travel flexibility for guests impacted by Hurricane Nicole. Here’s the announcement, which indicates that cancellation fees will resume on November 18th:

Due to potential weather impacts to guest travel plans, change and cancellation fees imposed by Disney will be waived for check-in dates of Tuesday, 11/8 – Thursday, 11/17

While the above notice applies to hotel rooms, the Disney World website does not list an end date for fees for dining and special experiences. It’s likely that fees for those items will resume on November 18th at the latest.

The complete list of trees are as follows:

  • Black Panther
  • Coco
  • Disney+
  • Encanto
  • Frozen
  • Guardians of the Galaxy
  • Haunted Mansion
  • The Lion King
  • Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse
  • Moana
  • The Nightmare Before Christmas
  • The Princess and the Frog
  • Raya and the Last Dragon
  • Star Wars
  • Toy Story
Is the Stroll a "hunt" again - with map and 'prize' or just a beautiful and relaxing stroll?

We went to see the trees in Disney Springs back in 2020, it was only time we’ve ever been, and they were just in a section back in behind a pathway. Is that not normally how they are?

Happy Friday All! 🥳🥂

A new a capella group has debuted at Disney’s Hollywood Studios for the 2022 Holiday Season. The group’s name is “Sleigh” and they will perform throughout the day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, singing classic Christmas songs with a fun twist. We watched Sleigh perform at Center Stage in front of Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, but we’re told that they may eventually move to Grand Avenue at some point. The act is not listed in My Disney Experience, but showtimes today ran from roughly 10:30am to 5:30pm, weather permitting. Hopefully, Disney World will officially announce or recognize Sleigh soon.

A memo from Disney CEO Bob Chapek indicates that The Walt Disney Company is instituting a “targeted” hiring freeze after the latest earnings report missed expectations and the stock plummeted.

Originally the trail was in back of the Marketplace, in the old bus station area. When that area became the rideshare/taxi pickup zone, the trail was redesigned to go through the entire DS as per the map. I'm not sure whether 2020 pandemic-era restrictions affected the locations when you saw it.
