CONFIRMED:

Pocahontas Scene Removed from Fantasmic at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

According to Scott Gustin, Disney has confirmed that the Pocahontas scene is being removed from Fantasmic! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The new sequence will replace the existing Pocahontas scene. The scene will feature multiple characters – and each will have their own moment during the new scene.

It will also replace the scene at that specific slot in the show. Also, it’s a bit longer than the current scene.

This makes sense. The Pocahontas scene replaced the Peter Pan scene from the DL version of F! so it can be updated without changing much of the rest of the show. The Peter Pan scene was also changed to Pirates of the Caribben during DL's last upgrade.

I do hope they don't rearrange the music the way they did at DL though - It wasn't as punchy and I never liked it as much.

First Look at MagicBand+ Interacting With Walt Disney World Fab 50 Statues

Ashley Carter with Spectrum News 13 has shared video on Twitter of the new MagicBand+ in action. We got a hold of some of the new bands when they were accidentally released early at Walt Disney World, but no features are yet available in the parks.

Getting a chance to try out the new MagicBand+, which launches at Disney World this summer. The device has all the same functions as MagicBand but the new version lights up and also interacts with the Fab 50 statues around the parks. pic.twitter.com/fhB5Fqgd1S

The Pocahontas scene always needed more Meeko anyways.

(I'm glad she's still a part of the new scene.)
Yeah, I'm happy to see Pocahontas the character remaining in the parks (with the Main Street Electrical Parade including her on the new float, the new calvacade at MK and the floatella's at AK). Just waiting for Hercules to finally appear at WDW 🤞 🤞

I always felt like the Pochontas scene was really outdated anyway. You can tell that part of the show as made in the 90s when it was the big movie of the time. Not that people don't like it, it just probably doesn't rank as high on people's favorite movie list, especially among kids these days. Feels like the right time to replace it.

Holy cow, I didn't know there was still plexiglass up anywhere!

Do any other locations still have it? I was really looking forward to a trip this summer without feeling like I was in a cattle chute. The Gran Fiesta/Three Caballeros ride at Epcot was the worst one!

I could have sworn the plexiglass was still up on Gran Fiesta on a recent livestream I saw. Have they removed it?

Omg YES. I used to be really claustrophobic as a child, but I've been able to mostly move away from that panic as an adult. That line brought me right to being 9 years old and that panic

BTMRR was a bad one too, going down the ramp to the loading area; I was so happy to find it gone on my spring trips!

I didn't realize either! Figured they'd be long gone by now.
That one was bad at Grand Fiesta, but the one that I didn't like the most was Big Thunder. Even back in summer 2020 when people were limiting touch points, that one was all smeared and slimy looking LOL
