Disney News and Updates links not working

When you are on the Forums main page the links to the Disney News on the right are not working.

I can access the story if I leave the forums page and go to NEWS but not from the forum page like you used to.

Hmmm.... Maybe try it again? I just clicked on each of the top 6 and they all worked. Technology can be so glitchy sometimes.

I reported this same problem about a week ago. I can't click on anything on the right hand side (news/ads/profile posts) of the main forum page.

I reported it directly to admin@wdwinfo.com and Webmaster Kathy emailed me to get some more info. Still not heard anything about a resolution.

Have you tried clearing your cache/cookies/history? I've had trouble with different updates on my iPhone and iPad letting me click links in Safari but those issues seem to be corrected.

Also, have you tried Google Chrome? Sometimes different browsers do the trick with that not being able to click thing.

I'm only on Google Chrome. I cleared cookies/cache (several times). I reported it to the admin@wdwinfo.com address and got an email from Kathy asking for my username. I supplied that and haven't heard anything more. That was on the 18th.

EDIT: Just went on DISboards on IE, and was able to scroll down and click on all the options on the right side of the main forum page. But cannot do so when on Chrome.

And, yes, I cleared my cache AGAIN.

So, as much as I would like Chrome to not be glitchy because I typically love all products from Google, it can be an incredible pain; especially with the Shockwave/Flash Player plugin.

The one thing I found that works is something one of our Moderators mentioned back in the fall. If you go to chrome://plugins/ and disable the Adobe Flash Player plugin, that might help with this issue you're having. See, the problem is the browser, not the site. If it didn't work just fine in Safari, IE, and Firefox, then that would be different. I'd be willing to be that this will fix the issue for you and the others having this same problem.

The question I have is - why did this just happen? I've always been able to click on the news & updates as well as the profile posts option with no issue. All of a sudden I can't.

I don't know about disabling things on my computer (that's my husband's job), so I'll have to wait and see what he has to say about doing that.

Same for me. It just started happening on Chrome over the past couple of days.

The only thing I can figure with that is that Google changes stuff up all the time. It's really anyone's guess as to why it suddenly started happening though. I'm not having the same issue as you guys and I use Chrome, but I have that specific plugin disabled because it's known to cause issues in Chrome. Some systems are different though - that really depends on everything from brand to type of computer/tablet/laptop you're using.

The New and Updates on the home page is frozen for me as well. I noticed it shortly after I had installed a Chrome extension that acts like an ad blocker, so I assumed that was the cause. However, I just realized those links are working from the TPAS forum, so not sure what's up.

Problems with the links from the forum page here too. But, I just click News at the top of the page and get to them that way. So maybe try that before you disable things that may cause problems somewhere else you browse.
