Disney newbie-navigating FP+

I've read at least 5 books, but even the "2014 Unofficial Guide" is not up to date on FP+.

1. Does my entire party need to pick the same FP for the same time? I'm having difficulty say-getting a FP for my husband and I to ride EE at Animal Kingdom while my Mom takes my 2 kids to another FP option.
2. I've read that Triceratops and Mickey's Jamming Jungle Parade have FPs, but they did not come up online. Will more FPs be available as time goes on? I thought that Fantasmic had a FP too and I didn't see it.

1. No. Schedule them for your party and go back and edit the ones you want...you don't have to all do the same thing.

2. Idk about the first 2 but Fantasmic FP is a total waste IMHO.
