We are planning a trip for July and I have 2 boys. We love chef Mickey's but we talking about how fun it would be to have a meal with Villians & pirates. The girls get the princesses so they need something for the boys! Just a thought.

:thumbsup2 Seriously, my boys (8 yr old twins) have NO interest in princesses. Gimme a lunch with Buzz Lightyear, Peter Pan, Cap'n Hook... now THAT would be up my boys' alley!!!

THAT would be AWESOME! We would definitely go to that :-) Seriously, they need something for the boys. It's a little frustrating how princess oriented everything is... Disney needs to throw the boys a bone :cool1:

That would be great for girls too. My daughter is 12 and princesses are not her thing anymore. :goodvibes

The had a Villian's dinner about 7 years ago. It was at 1900 Park Fair and included The Queen of Hearts, Captain Hook and the governor from Pocahontas (I think). There were others, but I don't remember them. I took my nephew, he was 6 at the time and he wore his Peter Pan costume. Captain Hook had a great time giving my DN a hard time! My DN is 13 now, and I know I couldn't get him to go to a character dinner now. But, we had fun when we went! It would be great for Disney to offer a character meal for boys, though, I agree.

1) Alas, parents spend big bucks on the girls, but not on the boys.
2) Who would think parents would go for
. . . the ludicrous prices of BBB
. . . the ridiculous prices of CRT
3) Disney knows where the parents drop big bucks.
4) So, other than changes on 1900 Park Fare, don't look for a villains' meal.

NOTE: They almost had a Buzz meal at MGM earlier this year. They even went as far as auditioning CM's for the characters. Then, surveys in the parks showed them that boy-meals wouldn't draw as much as girl-meals.

Many years ago (at least 10 if not more) they had a breakfast where Playhouse Disney is today. Jafar and Genie walked around the tables and then after you were done you walked upstairs to see John Smith and Pocahontas. I don’t even remember is the food was good but it was great to see the characters!!

I would love to see them set up a non-princess meal for all the kids (including me )

We went to the Villian dinner they used to have at 1900 Park Fare. It was our favorite character dinner! My kids were about 10&12 (or maybe 9&11) and my son in particular loved teasing/interacting with the villians and the villians interacting with each other was fun. Prince John from Robin Hood was the other one that was common. I heard Cruella was the other one that was occasionally there.

I heard they stopped it because the little kids were scared of the villians. Too bad. I think if they brought it back my 16/18 year olds would want to go and right now they could care less about character meals. (Although I am dragging my daughter (16) to Crystal Palace for dinner next May.)

Good idea! Someone should contact Disney about that!

I find it hard to believe that A Villians or Pirate character meal wouldn't draw as many as the other characters! There is nothing for boys in particular like there is for girls and from reading these boards a whole lot of parents of boys would book a "boys character " meal in a heartbeat so did Disney ask parents of girls or what??? Why they could havePirate makeovers for the boys like they have Princess ones for the girls. Little Pirates or villians could walk around the parks just like the Princesses. Com'on Disney be FAIR!!

I don't think there is such a thing as a "boy" character meal which is the opposite of the princesses for girls. There is no character set which is loved and admired by boys (to the extent that the Princesses are by girls as a group) which is equally not admired by girls. All of the "boy" character meals mentioned would like appeal to just as many girls.

As for parents spending more money on girls; I'm not sure that can be said because there is no chance to prove it. Parents don't have the choice to take their boys to a place the boys would enjoy as much as girls enjoy BBB

I'd pay the big bucks of CRT for a power ranger meal. My DS would love that!!!!

I only have DD6 and yes she does love the princesses, but I do agree that there should be something more appealing to all the boys that visit WDW.

And how about a Pirates of the Carribbean meal for all us big folk? Capt Jack and Will Turner for the moms and Elizabeth Swan for the dads!;) :cool1: :hippie:

I have 2 DGD aged 12 who would love the Princess meal and DGS aged 6 would love aPower Rangers or POTC meal He would love to be dressed up as a Pirate the way the girls are to be Princess' MGM needs more /better TS and a boy orientated meal would be a big hit and yes I agree a whole lot of girls would enjoy it too o comeon Disney!!!

Pirates and Villains is a great idea. My boys would also love a Star Wars meal.

And I would certainly pay whatever to take them. I don't think I'd spend less on my boys than on girls, but I don't have any girls so I can't be sure :)

As was already mentioned, a villian meal was tried and failed. Now, with the addition of the pirates, who knows? It could work.

However, your "window of opportunity" is a significantly smaller here than with meals featuring your more "lovable" characters. Someone already pointed out that the little kids were frightened by the villians. And the older boys aren't going to think it's "cool" to be at any character meal. Also outside of us fanatics on the DIS, I don't think there would be a lot of adults who would be beating down the door for a character meal. So the demand just isn't there.

If there were a Pirates Character meal, we'd be at it in an instant. My son would be in heaven!
