We just returned from Disney after spending seven nights at the resorts but only went to Epcot for the CP and to Magic Kingdom for a MVMCP. On our night at Epcot we were on the Mexico boat ride and after about two minutes into the ride, everything stopped. After 25 minutes of waiting, a girl appeared along the side and said that a man in waders would pull us up to safety. After 45 minutes and climbing wooden stairs and going through the backlot we were in Epcot again. Two nights later at MK, we were on Pirates and again ride stopped and a person in waders pulled us to an exit and 45 minutes later we were back in the MK. A cast member told people to go to MS and get a pass to ride again but I wasn’t wasting time to do that. When we returned home, I contacted MS via email stating what had happened and what the cast member had told us and kindly asked if possible,if we could get a pass for next years Christmas visit. Not only did they offer a pass but Three passes for each person for any ride other than the Big Attractions. I was so grateful for their generosity. Again KUDOS to Member Services.
On a side note, after the pirates breakdown, no one would go on it’s a small world with me……they were serious.
