is anyone a member?
is it worth it?
i get nervous with these types of clubs, i always feel like i am getting ripped off...
can anyone share their thoughts before i join, if i join...thank you so much!!!

signed, addicted to disney dvd's;)

We enjoy being a member. You can get the new movies cheaper at Walmart the first week they are out though. But we do love the 40% movies.

We love the Disney Movie Club. You only HAVE to purchase 2 after the initial. (atleast thats what it was when we joined) But we usually do the 40% deal, and still buy the new movies at Wallyworld when they are on sale.

I love it. I got like 5 free movies when I joined. I have to buy 4 within two yrs but i've already bought 3 so i'm just about there (been a member for a couple months now

I love it. The initial offering is a big savings, and they always offer sales and discounts, and even free pins with purchase for VIP members.

I've been meaning to cancel since now I have fulfilled my "newbie" quota (3 years ago). I just keep putting it off or hoping that they will offer a special perk to full members. No luck so far. The movies are cheaper at the store unless they offer a buy one get the rest 50% off then if you want to buy a bunch at the sametime it's cheaper. We aren't big movie buyers though. It's also a pain to have to remember to call and decline the featured title every month.

I decline the feature title online. They send an email. If I had to call I would consider it a big pain too!

I am a huge movie buyer, so the 40% off specials etc. end up saving us money...not for everyone though, to be sure!

It's also a pain to have to remember to call and decline the featured title every month.

Do it online.

If I had it to do over again, I would have bought all the movies I wanted at once, or within a very short amount of time.

Why? Because if you add up all the movies you get at the initial joining deal, and the ones you have to buy after that, and divide it, you're getting them all at a great deal.

But if you put months between the joining deal and then buying them, it can easily annoy you, b/c you KNOW you could buy them much cheaper elsewhere. So you always have to keep in mind the average when you're buying the required movies later on.

So if I were to do it again, I would make sure I had the money for all of the required purchases, and just do it as soon as possible, rather than dragging it out.
