:headache: Well I ordered movies for Christmas on Dec 05 the day before christmas they are still not here :scared:

Well I tried the toll free number it says if you have a membership number put in in now. So I did then asked me for postal code grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr


We can not do that. So I thought maybe it meant letters equal numbers nope.

I call back and listen to all the message 1. for member all if ready, 3 to join and 2 if you do not live in the USA. Why did the make that number 2????

Would it not make sense to say in you already have a membership number and live in the US push 1 then have for those in Canada please call.

Oh I am boiling I get this confirmation from Disneymovieclub.ca and this is the number they give.

Oh and it gets better. I now have to call a number that is not toll free to ask where are my movies.

So it rings and now I have to listen to a commercial on all about the movie club. So why not join.

And what did I get for this effort. Well ma'am it is guaranteed to be there by December 24th. If you ordered by December 18th.

I ordered the 5th and it was not shipped to the 17th.

I am appalled that i received this months movie which I never ordered but did not get the items and movies I ordered here by the 23rd.

One was for a friend at work. I thought since I ordered so soon it would be here in plenty of time.

I asked if it does not arrive for christmas then what does the guarentee mean. Well we could send you a free postage sticker to send it back.

The last thing I thought would be Disney giving bad service especially at christmas. Then to have to pay to find out what is going on.

Not happy because I may have to run out tomorrow and buy some of the items I ordered some I can not get :( And I had no gift for my friend today.

I will never order items from this movie club for christmas gifts again.
 
Oh I am so sorry to read about your disappointing experience and that you had to pay on top of it all. I really hope you have luck find your movies tomorrow. Is it possible it is held up at customs? I am sure your friend will understand.
 
If the movies are being shipped via Canada Post, this may explain the slowdown. Until the past few days, they have had one of their unions on strike, and this has affected mail delivery/sorting in some areas.
 
I'm sorry to hear of your troubles. We've been pleased with the disney movie club so far! I can't wait to see what next month brings.

They likely are taking so long due to the back log at canada post's sorting centre as usual during christmas they get a giant back log of things.
 

Well it is not here !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now what do I do. And I called the disney movie house and guess what they are closed for christmas.

I am so mad right now. I will be writingto the head guys on boxing day. This is not acceptable.

Yes but I ordered it on december 05. But they did not ship it till dec 17th. Disney canada should have known there was a strike.

I am furious. funny thing is that the movie I did not order was sent out in time. Grr
 
no customes as the dvd' are shipped from Fort Erie ontario I could have walked there and back a few times.
 
I don't think it matters what company you are dealing with, unless you are paying for a courier or expresspost this time of year, there is a good chance that there might be delays. I think Canada Post is the issue, not Disney, in this case. There is no reason for them to assume that something sent within your own province on the 17th wouldn't get there in four business days or less.
 
Yes I can see that but why take the risk. I did order it on December 05 plenty of time. And being a company doing it from the same province I live in they would be well aware of the slower postal service. We are not given the option for express with ordering disney movie club. I am still very upset. No posting a package on the 17th was not plenty of time. Packages tend to be delivered slower than cards.

But to order an item on the 5th of december and not get it here is time is just not acceptable. To me there is absolutely no excuse.

I honestly can see the way you feel. However, I do know that these parcels usually don't come so slowly. I have no experience with Disney Movies, keep in mind, but I order from Amazon frequently as well as Zip.ca. These items do not come from my own province or region. 4 business days is usually plenty of time for them to get here.

I really hope that there is something that Disney can do for you by way of apology to make this situation better. However, I wouldn't let Canada Post off the hook just yet.
 
We have had no problems with our membership, but movies are slow for delivery as they are with Columbia House Canada too.

Not sure I understand all of the issues you are having:

1. What number are you calling? This is the number you should be calling: 1-800-362-4587. It is the Canadian number and it takes our postal codes with no problems. It says right on the message that orders will take between 15-22 days to arrive depending upon Canada Post (I just called to check for you). This would put you right into Christmas holidays, plus, as mentioned, the administrative union is on strike, so there are holdups from that as well.

2. Featured Selection - You should be receiving a Featured Selection card in the mail, plus, an email newsletter listing your Featured Selection and the date you need to respond by in order to cancel. They give you multiple weeks to cancel, so not sure why you are blaming Disney if you didn't do that and they sent it out. You can send it back for full refund as far as I know.

Good luck with getting your DVD movies soon - I would check out the website as it is very informative and will help you learn the ins and outs of your membership such as shipping times, featured selections, etc.

Thanks for the info, Tiger926. I hope that helps, OP. It also explains the hold up since they allow for up to 22 to deliver. That means that without the holiday you would be receiving them today. But it's not a business day so Monday. (That is unless they mean 22 business days.)

Hopefully, it helps. I'm sure her movie was held up due to the Christmas season. You'd think ordering on Dec. 5th would be good enough, but with a strike and the holidays, it obviously was not.

Hopefully, the OP's address is correct as well and that isn't the holdup.

I would encourage all members to sign up on the website for email newsletters so that way, you can respond to Featured titles in a timely manner.
