Can anyone who has taken the Disney motor coach from WDW to PC help me decide? I'll be going from AKL to PC, would you happen to know about what time the motor coach gets you to DCL? Does it make many other stops? Do you have enough time to make reservations for Palo, spa, etc. w/out having to take not so great time slots? Is it worth it to just hire a town car? At first I thought the bus would be fun for the kids, etc. but now am not so sure. I was also thinking I could have the town car make a stop so I could buy a case of water. What do you think?

On our three cruises we have always used a town car service. We find this to be the most confortable and affordable way of getting to the port. When you use DCL transfers you must wait for the bus to fill up before it leaves the airport/port. By using the towncar service you decide when you want to leave. We have used Tiffany Towncar for all three trips and would highly recommend them.

Depending on how many in your party, sometimes a town car is cheaper! We took the DCL transport for our first two cruises. The first time was from the Beach Club and they didn't leave until 11:30. The second time was from the Hyatt in the airport and we left at 9:15. MUCH better to get there early. This last time we took a towncar service (Southern Elegance Limo -- excellent) and we had them pick us up at 9:00. We got to the port by 10:30 and were able to relax and walk around. The towncar costs us $75. The transfers would have cost us $75 -- but we got to have control over our time and had a nice quiet ride.

I would definitely take a towncar. We did the bus from POR and it was ok. It is nice not to have to worry about your luggage. But I hated "vying" (sp) for a spot in line. There were a lot of people. In fact, they filled 2 buses. The 2nd bus then had to go over and pick up a few people at AKL. Our pick up was around 12:15, but I don't think we even left until at least 12:45 or later. That means you are getting there around 1:30.

DCL bus picks up at AKL around 12:30, makes a couple of stops and zooms off to PC. If reservations rather than low cost (if you have a small group) is important, take a town car. I only got a ressie at Palo because a DIS-friend on the cruise meets board arrived at PC before me and made one for me....plus she got a grocery stop...

Oh, I forgot about the grocery stop. That was another benefit. We were able to pick up a case of water and more film and candy for the movies onboard. Be sure to request that when you make your reservation, however, so they will know ahead of time.
