Disney Mobile?

Not to Verizon but to Cingular... We are switching to Disney Mobile in Nov. as soon as my phone contract expires. I guess Disney Mobile is hooked up with Nextel/Sprint and I know that my dh gets service with Nextel in areas that Cingular and Verizon doesn't so I guess it will be better for us.

Well I would be careful They just shut down the ESPN Mobile for it being a bad business plan.

DM is the same thing just Disneyfied .

Some of the plans are the same as Sprints mid-level plans as it is ran on Sprints network.

Well, it must be off to a good start as they can only call you back within 48hrs if you want to join! They take your name/# and thats it! "We'll get back to you"..!

We will stick with Verizon, not because they are "wonderful" although I don't have a complaint but in our area, most of DSs friends, our family, etc uses Verizon so we get the free network calling. It keeps the cell bill down.

Just looked into this yesterday, the GPS function is an additional monthly fee of about $15.00.

I think it's a good thing to have, if you have young kids, I personally would think it's a bit to overprotective, I'd want more space than that, almost feel like I wasn't trusted, but I don't know. I think it's a good, and bad thing. I'd discuss it with kids before getting it though... I'd like it just ebcause it's Disney.. I'm so pathetic.

WE went back and forth for about 3 months on this one. Dh and I both have Verizon. We wanted to get 13 y/o dd a cell phone since she has so many extracurricular things now. After figuring what the costs would be with each plan, we decided to just stick with Verizon. Yes, the Disney phone is adorable but for the money I would spend, well....not a great deal for us. Now, everyone is on Verizon in my family, so we are all IN..no cost to call/message each other. And we wanted a plan that was going to be good everywhere.

I just looked at this too. In the last 4 yrs we've had Verizon, Cingulair & Nextel. Dh's phone's come through his work (they pay the contract term fee's and monthly bill). We've added me onto 2 out of the 3 plans he's had. It looks DM would actually cost us more, so it counts us out too. Also, we canNOT stand Nextel. We've had more coverage problems and additional "fee's" for the 2nd line then we had w/ any other cell carrier. So, that was another HUGE deterrent.

I have T-Mobile and I was considering in changing to DM, but then I found out that we only get free calling from mobile to mobile just in our family, not other people that owns DM. Like T- mobile, i get free calling to anyone that has T-Mobile. That is important since Db & Dsis live in a different state then me and i even talked my DDad to get a T- mobile, i dont think we even use our house phone anymore...
