It's new. It is for families. The parents can control kid's usage and track the kids by GPS.
I want it for my DH and me! My kids are too young. I've got to wait until March when my Verizon contract expires. I just want it for all the ringtones/wallpaper that you can get.
I looked into it but we didnt make the switch yet. The coverage areas are pretty few and far between where I am and I can see the roaming charges adding up pretty fast, because those are not included in the plans. The rates and features are fairly good though so I am still thinking about it. If they expand their coverage areas or include roaming I am all over it!!
We looked into it but it is a lot more expensive than our family plan on T-mobile. We decided not to switch for the time being. Disneymobile is on the Sprint network so if you have good Sprint coverage in your area, it should work ok.
I just signed up for DH and I. In fact, I'm expecting the phones to arrive sometime today. It isn't just for kids, it is for families in general with great security options if you do have kids. We were doing prepay so this will be cheaper for us but I'm sure some other plans are better. Like someone else mentioned, I'm a dork and I mainly signed up for the Disney themes. I'll get back with everyone when we activate the phones and see how it goes.
We've searched the website, etc. and can't find what types of plans they offer or prices - mainly lots of info on the phones and features, which look pretty neat. We only have a prepaid service with a crummy phone, so Disney Mobile looks fairly attractive to us, but we don't have much frame of reference for comparison. When folks mention good pricing for plans, what are we looking at (ballpark figures) and what all's included?
After a big pain in the butt we finally got our two phones activated last night. So far I'm really digging it, especially the download options for graphics, ringtones, etc.
We were also doing prepay with virgin mobile and found that we could spend just as much if not less with two phones on the Disney mobile family plan. The basic plans are like this...59.99 for 450 shared minutes is the cheapest for two phone lines. They go up from there depending on minutes and number of phone lines. Mobile to mobile is free along with nights and weekends on all plans.

I would love to hear from anyone who has them and what they think of them.
We are at a point that we can get a new contract and are trying to decide what to do. The Disney ones have 'cute' features, but they don't seem to be the best price wise.
I are waiting to see what others think of it.
Thanks!
DJ
Okay, well, I've only had mine for a few days now so I can't report on any technical problems yet. I find the mobile to mobile free calling to be great. Since DH and I talk more than anyone else, it makes it worth it for me, even if it is a bit higher than other plans.
The Disney graphics are so much fun. You can download all kinds of wallpaper, ringtones, and themes, Disney and non Disney. You have to pay for most of them though. They have less than a handful of free options in all of these categories.
So far I can't complain. Like I said before, it is cheaper than prepay and I'm a disney nut so I don't mind paying a little extra for some pixie dust magic on my phone. My son is too young for a phone so I can't report on the family security features portion.
