Disney Minnie Vans Question

I recommend using Lyft. I used it a couple of times last trip staying at the AKL (which is in a far corner of WDW) and always found a ride in about 5-7 minutes. Therefore booking in advance is not necessary in my opinion.

Where are the pickup and drop off spots at the parks for Lyft? Can they come right up to the front entrance of the resorts?

At resorts they can come right up to the lobby entrance, however for the parks I do not know.

They can't go to the MK; you can go to either TTC or CR for MK. At TTC and the other 3 parks, the pickups are adjacent to the taxi stands.

At the resorts, pick up is usually at the front door. For resorts that have parking near the room, except CSR & Treehouses, they can pick up at your lodging building.

I just came back from AKL and used the Minnie Van twice during my weekend trip. One great feature with the minnie Van is that it is allowed to go to places that neither the Taxis, Uber or Lyft. My family and I (Total Count 5) was able to take the minnie van from AKL directly to Pioneer Hall to go to Hoop Dee Doo Show. You didn't have to transfer to an internal bus if we went the other ways. They currently have 30 vehicles running. Both times that I needed a ride, it was less than 4 minute wait.

At MK they drop-off and pick-up at bus gate #11. At least that's where they were doing it last week.

I agree with previous posters that the fleet is limited. As an impatient New Yorker and frequent Lyft user in the city, I'm used to car always being available and to my door within 2-3 minutes. When I first tried the Minnie Van, it took 5 minutes for a single car to ping us and even then, it was 15 minutes away. Seemed like an eternity. Another day we were able to get one home from MK almost instantly, and that was great. Also, my kids loved the polka dotted car. Very cute.

I had read that at AK it's now at the back of the bus line (for drop off), any info to the contrary would be great

Nope - I imagine you're right. Hopefully they'll roll out more cars soon and be able to keep up with demand.
