Disney Mini Pins from the Disney Store's

I have purchased some Disney Mini Pins from the Disney Stores in hopes of using them for trading at the parks. Has anyone done this, and if so was there any grief given by any of the cast memebers? At our last trip we purchased some 2000 Dancer pins off of ebay and several cast memebers wouldn't trade with my kids saying that they already had that pin on their lanyard therefore they had to have a different pin to trade. Still learning all the ways of WDW.

I saw some on the lanyards this past week. Dunno if CMs gave people grief for them, but I have to say it's really disappointing seeing so many on the lanyards when decent traders can be had for around $2 per pin. See the collectors board for more details.

My DGF received some mini's from the Disney store for her Birthday. She traded them with CM with no problem.

When I did my college program in 2003, we were told during training that we could trade any pin as long as it is Disney. So I do believe that the pins at the stores can be traded! I want to pick some up before my next trip!

Yes, the Disney Store pins are perfectly acceptable. And remember, as annoying as the thousands of 2000 dancer pins were, they were acceptable too. But as you mentioned, CMs cannot accept a pin that they already have on their lanyard. Have a blast.
