Disney Military Salute Ticket

need some clarification about the military salute ticket, the one where you need an ID to use tickets.
from my understanding it is used any 5 days of the year, does not have to be within a certain time period, like the ones you buy from disney.
How does that work when you reserve a day to get in the parks? do you uplaed the ticket code to your account and it recognizes it & you just pick any date you want? (because the regular tickets only let you book in a certain time frame from the 1st date you pick)

Yes, you upload the ticket(if purchased from Shades of Green) or voucher number(if purchased at ITT office) and that will link the ticket to your account. The days on the ticket can be used any time up until 12/17/21. Once the ticket is linked you can book the park reservation by selecting either just Theme Park Tickets or Select Resort Guests(if staying on property).

Just a clarification, you don't "select" the pool of guests you are in when making Park Reservations.

The system automatically recognizes which pool you are in.

But yes, once a military salute ticket or voucher is linked, the ticket holder can book parks any 4 or 5 days (depending which ticket they have) between now and December 17, 2021.

Hi new here, so if i am reading correctly. You can use the tickets from july 6th to dec 17th. Or is that just the purchase dates. We are looking to visit our daughter who is in the college program at Disney dec 18 to 26th. Any advice is most helpful.

Those are the use dates.

For December 18-26, you will have to get Magic Your Way tickets.

It's still worth getting them from Shades of Green or a military travel office, though. The discount is smaller than for the promotional tickets, but at least they (Magic Your Way military) are the same price all year. From Disney, they are priced seasonally, so tickets for your dates would be much more expensive.
