IS THIS REAL? I don't think it is - but others believe it is - that the groom somehow set it up. . .

Well, this was posted before. It seemed pretty obvious that the people worked in Disney entertainment at Disneyland, but I think it's entirely possible that he asked Disney for permission to do this, and they set up the entire filming part to act as viral marketing.

Or it could be that they were all in entertainment pretending that it was real. Either way, it's entertaining.

That was adorable, but I would punch my boyfriend in the face if he did that to me.

I'm assuming he's in with the entertainment department at Disneyland. I bet they work there or at least he does. So yeah, it looks legit, at least her reactions are.

it all just seems so weird, if he did work for disney entertainment, why couldn't he do better thn overweight random cast member, and jolly custodian as part of his act? But if he doesn't work at disney, how did he even get that to happen. Also lets consider the camera angle, it looks like its up high, the whole thing seemed staged, besides its a bad idea for them to get married anyway if they have only been together a year.. crazy kids..

It's fake. I talked to my cousin, who is a CM (character and dancer) there and it was staged. and she said they all think it's hilarious. ROFL

I find it funny that all the street shots were all filmed with the same model of Sony HD Camera. If you look carefully, you can see the well placed "tourist" cameras. The lighting also looked a little too "perfect" for a random occurance!

Sorry I didn't know it was posted before on here. I had not seen it. Anyway - I too think it was staged just from the camera angles and obviously with the entertainment singing, but wondered if he was a CM and got permission to work it in with the what will you celebrate theme or something. . .

Just thought it would be interesting to discuss.

I think it's very cute. It does look staged, but I wonder if it's real.

This is awesome. What a memory these two have on tape.

I'm going to guess that the guy works at Disneyland as a performer, and wanted to propose at Disneyland. So he got his fellow cast members to help him out and also record the event. So they organized this choreographed dance and set a time to perform it on Main Street. It's a very plausible scenario and I hope it's real.

according to my cousin it was entirely staged, to be filmed entirely for Youtube. she said they were setting up a couple hours before. Both of them are CM's.

So this was indeed made by Disney for their site. Now the question is did they use a real couple? Maybe the guy - a CM- went and asked for permission to do a little something on Main Street and then it went from there to someone saying hey we could totally used this as a promotional video, added in the music, singing and gathered other CMs . Maybe it started off as something basic but memorable and Disney took it and made it into this for their own purposes as well.

I watchd the marriage proposal video. It was very entertaining. But how does one find out how "real" it was?

I think it could definitely be something real that they uploaded to create interest in the parks. I often think that if one has enough money, Disney will go for anything (if it was, in fact, the guy's idea). I assume that he works for Disney in entertainment somewhere.

For me, it is a great thing that my love one will make it to me. I will appreciate it very much because he can tell everyone or anyone how he loves me. Marriage is is a social union of two people that creates deeper relationship.
