I feel like I am jinxing myself by saying this, but I have found training to be easier than I expected so far. I am using a modified Galloway plan and this weekend will be my 13 mile run (might make it 13.1 so I can say I did my first half marathon

). I never thought I'd do a half marathon and now I have so much confidence going forward!
I did my 11 mile run a week and a half ago after coming home from a week of vacation. I got my 3 runs in on that trip, but I was crawling home, even after just 25 minutes! The humidity was so bad and I just couldn't breathe. On top of that, I drank almost nothing but beer for a week, so I was really surprised I did the whole 11 miles! I took it slow, but not
that slow and I was pretty darn proud of myself!
I will only be going to 20 miles in training
I think, but I am looking forward to tackling each new distance! The only thing that scares me is how much time it takes to complete the runs!
