Disney Magical Express Question

I have a friend going to Disney for a few days during their Florida vacation and they had signed up for the Magical Express from the airport. Now they are going to rent a car and the question is, will Magical Express still take their luggage to the Resort if they don't ride the Express to their resort. I figured disboarders would know the answer.

I believe they only carry your luggage for you if you are actually using ME.

No, Magical Express in NOT a luggage transportation service. Do people do YES, but you are NOT supposed to.

Short answer - yes you can use the DME as a luggage delivery system.
