Pool hopping is perfectly acceptable and allowed by the resorts- all except The Yacht and Beach Club. In fact, they encourage it.

Sounds like they are working on it - the more responses on the Transportation Board the better things seem to be going along. I guess when you use a brand new service you should expect some "glitches" sorry that happend to you.

FWIW - no matter what type of ground transportation we use I always plan for the day. If we arrive in the am our carry on has the things we need for the day - either at the pool or parks. If we were arriving as you did, in the evening I would have a change of clothes and toiletries in the carry on. Easier said than done with a family of 4 but so worth it. Airlines have been known to loose luggage and I don't even think ME is advertising that your bags will beat you anymore. AA once lost our bags (before kids luckily) but dh I had enough for the day and the airline delivered the luggage to the resort later that evening.

I am surprised you mention "pool hopping" but for future record this isn't allowed except for sister resorts, DVC and perhaps a rehab of the main pool at your resort.

This comment on pool hopping.. A whale of a tale and it's all true I swear by my tattoo (that you can't see.. out of "look" you know) Only the all stars and the po sisters can share. (unless your resorts' pool is being refurbished) Just because something may seem easy to get away with, doesn't mean it's condoned.
The dme is new. it's free. and it's huge. of course it had glitches. It's first day was the 5th of may, and i called in sick that day. We ran private tests with small numbers on it for over two years before implimentation, and the rule was.."no pax without their luggs, no luggs without their pax" but with some two thousand people arriving at 10 am the first three weeks, the priority of course became "get these people to their resort". I'm sorry you were inconvenienced. It gets smoother every day. For those of you arriving soon with dme... just to save you time calling me later..
your vouchers only have the lead pax name. this is not an error. it's just how it's done. and vouchers do not come with your final resort confirmation. they are sent by a different office altogether.. and they usually arrive as close as three days before your arrival time. there is a number we can give you to call directly and inquire about their shipping date, but, obviously, i'm not at work right now and don't have it. sorry.
the rumor that you can only use it on certain airlines is hooey. we'll pick you up if you come in on "bob's plane". It's resort airline check-in that's limited.
If, for some reason, you don't get your vouchers, (such as you booked your whole family's reservations with one address.. shame shame..) don't panic!
We'll still get you! at worst, you may have to pick up your luggage at the carousel.
I hope this helps clear up some of the confusion. I hear the same questions every day, and I'm hoping by imputting answers here, the call volume of questions will be alleviated. Not that i don't love your questions, that's why i'm up so late.. but if i spend time on this at work, not booking the thousand an hour quota.. I'll loose the job I love.

Isn't this about delayed luggage? Who cares where you swim ~ just don't pee in the pool!

Oh, by the way, take a carry-on piece of luggage all the time! I always have extra guchies in there just in case!
